I was thinking about planting peach trees and figs when I moved. When I was moving my stuff in I saw a nice size peach tree at the end of the driveway that`s on my sister`s property. Hopefully I can get cuttings to root. A neighbor has a fig tree and told me he`d give me some of it when he trims it soon. I gotta get a pear tree. I still have dreams about trying to get the last few giant pears way up in my grandfather`s tree after school in the 1970s.

Sounds good! It's always nice be able to get a plant going from a cutting especially a fruit tree. I would love to try a fig as well. I not sure if my climate zone will support them. I have to look into it. I have fond memories of climbing around in fruit trees as a kid too. Good times!

I was thinking about getting a santa rosa plum from tractor supply but im worried about the rootstock used.

If mine does o.k. and looks good this spring I will get another. The price is great but I do understand your concern.
