TRACK STAFF- SLOW THAT CAR DOWN!!! We took Addy to the track, but her car was TOO FAST for JR STREET

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I got a phone call this week about “Jr. Street Test and Tune” at our local track.
“What the hell is Jr. Street?” I said…
A few hours later, a plan was in place to take Addy and her 78 Malibu to National Trail Raceway on Wednesday afternoon.
But she doesn’t have a License, and has never made a pass down the track behind the wheel of ANYTHING.
Obviously, I had some work to do to make sure she had a successful first trip to the track.
Nobody wants their first pass to go terribly wrong… and there was logical reasoning behind being SCARED TO DEATH!
550hp Malibu… 15 year old Girl.
What could go wrong???

Addy. She's definitely a keeper. Bill thank you so much for taking her under your wing. I remember when she saw your car at the parts store I think it was Marks. It seems like so long ago it's great to see it all coming together. She definitely has racing fuel pumping through her.

Bill, Can I run E85 in my 2002 Big Block 496 without any changes and obtain performance gains? I know tuning for E85 is better. Did GM design my Big Block to accept both and will I see any benefit without changing anything?

She has this amazing, uncanny ability that comes so naturally, Addie is young and raw with still much to learn, but her talent and IQ of the sport at her age is wiser beyond her years. I think she may possess the same potential as aunt Shirley an NHRA legend in and of herself. It is so refreshing to see somebody take the time and effort to put into a young kid that really wants to go drag racing. Big shout out to her parents for raising such a good young girl. Addy, you've got this. Now go kick some butt.

I hope she gets involved with gen 2 garbage. I feel the 3 of them could make a hell of a “little rascals” team and put the beat down with billy the kid.

That young lady has a career ahead of her. She wants to learn and that's all anyone can ask for.. As a old man myself I say, the more she likes racing the less time she has to think about boys. So lets keep her busy with racing.

Oh, it's really funny. The grumpy old man is tamed by a little 15/16-year-old girl named Addy. God bless you, Mister Bill. Pretty awesome guy in my book.

This was awesome! My eyes are tearing up watching the excitement on her face. My daughter loves cars but wasn't so interested in getting dirty in the shop so I never got to experience this with my kid but now that she's a mother of 2 and with 3 grandkids there still may be a chance. Have to go find my old 80 Malibu😍

It's great that you have taken the time to help her and her family get her started. It was awesome to see her finally get to make a pass. She will do great.
