    I got the delanclip today (jan2020). The kit came with everything needed including a monitor bracket for the camera. Some other review state that they did not get one so i though i would clarify this. Great product. So much so, that i am on every single review of the delanclip on YT and stating this fact. The packing of the product alone will impress you. Get the delanclip....or pay 3 times as much for trackir. Your choice.

    Hi Stephen, We had a bit time to watch your review. Would you be able to tell exact weight of each of our units ? Regarding the price of our products, we are more expensive, but nobody mentioning that for the price we sell, people gets outstanding customer service. You should also ask one question: what happens when the unit get broken ? How other will come across that situation ? and yeas, they give only 1 year in warranty with an unknown approach. Where we - we just need a simple evidence, a video or picture. And there is no questions asked, we will post brand new unit with a brand new 2 year warranty. I think people does not realise that. And this is one of the factors which we personally learnt in our lives, "if you buy cheap, you buy twice". Of course, I am not thinking about buying well over priced products like TrackIR, as we cannot compete with such a big brand. All the best and thanks for the video - it is a lesson which we appreciate, thanks to this video, we can work on improving our products as well as the service.

    Just found out about you and even though I am using opentrack + a smartphone, I will probably buy your wireless kit as it definitely fixes the limitations I am getting from my current setup. Love the fact that this seems to be a one man company offering a solution to head tracking. Also love the fact that you do not stray away from offering advices even on your own website. Like you are even advising people to try their own webcam if they have one laying around the house, without buying one from you. That right there is marketing done right. Well done, sir. You deserve all the support with your company.

    Just finished nodding my old ps3 camera, now I'm gonna get the UTC 2 regular. I tested it and it's working great, it sees nothing but IR, which it sees perfectly. If you're wondering how I did this, I took an old playstation "eye" for ps3 cam I had laying around and opened it up (this was a nightmare, sony REALLY didnt want you getting into the eye camera. Once open I removed the lens and removed the IR filter. Then I reassembled it, and tested it for picture quality by plugging it into a ps3. Then I used a small 25mm hi pass filter from Amazon on the end of the lens to make it see nothing but IR light. Now all I need is one of the clips sony sold to attach it to my monitor, the £3 drivers to work in my pc, a utc2 regular and tracknoIR.

    @@Thatonedude90 Well... arguably, a good product doesn't have to be expensive. There's software that matches your face with a digital character on screen. Even expressions you make. VTube Studio on Steam is FREE. And there's that "Disney princess face" app or filter for phones. Head tracking would only need to track the tilt of your head. Not even translate it to a 3D character with expressions. I'm not a programmer. But how hard could it be to just tether an in-game cam to... head tilt software? I dunno... I'm probably missing something.

    Is there any difference in game software support vs. TrackIR? Do these just appear as additional HID game controller axes as far as software is concerned? I'm a little unclear about where the configuration software comes from.

  • @ParticularPixels

    @ParticularPixels

    4 жыл бұрын

    Not that I have come across. There is no difference regarding the functionality of the two either. Everything that worked with my TrackIR 5, works perfectly with these setups. Games that have TrackIR support often have a setting that needs to be enabled. The actual configuration happens in the software itself, not the game (responsiveness, turning curves etc). Both FacetrackNoir and Opentrack use the Freetrack protocol to emulate the presence of TrackIR, with a dummy TrackIR.exe file. (The option is there for games games that require it), some games work natively with Freetrack without requiring a dummy exe, but most of the games I play require it.
