I was born in a generation as you describe. These things all existed when I was too young to really go to them and enjoy them, so i dont have any core memories of them

This literally made me start to cry . I remember always getting so excited to get a new toy from my favorite toy store . They will always be in our hearts forever. 🥺😭😭😭😭😭❤

It’s sad to see it just rot and decay, I was pretty late to the Toys R Us Train but even at that I still had a pretty good time there I remember going to the back looking at the Skylanders and the action figures, legos, etc. It was place of imagination and creativity. However every time I went to the back of the store I remember seeing all these old games from the wii, 360, PS3 era still sitting on the shelves collecting dust. They were never bought nor thrown out. And that’s when it hit me, that Toys R Us wasn’t doing so good, and then a few years later the bankruptcy hit and then Toys R Us no longer existed. It’s something that just sits in your memories and heart now. My local location has now turned into a car dealership but thankfully Toys R Us is slowly rising from the dead and expanding through malls and Macy’s out of all places and soon to be sharing with target eventually and even some locations coming back. It’s great to see some of these come back to life.

The store is kinds back as a pop up location around Christmas, and there is a major store in New Jersey it's two stories tall

thankfully toys r us reopened in 2022, so you can revisit it

I don't have any important memory with Toys'R'Us (it's not a suprise I'm polish lol), but this video still makes me feel THIS feeling. This is why I love liminal space aesthetic so much, it's relatable for everyone everywhere

When I was toddler, I use to go to the ones in (Citadel?), and Bell Gardens. I would always look at the toys they had, and I would only ask my mom to buy something if it was an angry birds product. It was truly and experience. Then, they closed... During this time, I was looking for my favorite toy store. It felt like a sense of loneliness, sadness, and emptiness. I was missing something. A friend. Then when I found out about bankruptcy, I was broken. Thank you Toys R us for many awesome memory's. Thank you for never letting us grow up, and you may rest in peace.😞😌

I unfortunately only got to experience a Toys R Us once or twice when I was very little, so I don’t remember much. I was absolutely heartbroken when I heard they were closing their doors on the news many years ago. I still am to this day.

For the US it is sad that they closed, But I don't need to worry about them closing because here in Canada, we still have them! If you want to go to Toys R Us, then come to Canada! Also, a lot of Macy's in the US are getting Toys R Us in them.

in germany it’s impossible to find one single toys r us they closed everywhere. i snuck in a toys r us and i found a piece of paper that said " i guess everyone has grown up, there’s no toys r us, kids " which made me cry..

I’m 11 but I remember that I was the place to be. When I was 3 years old I would go to the train part and get a train every week I had everything. I would be in the toys r us for an hour it’s sad to see it go R.I.P toys r us 1948-2018

Here in Germany in the early 90s I was in a Toy R us for the first time when I got my Gameboy. Before that I only knew about dis Store from brochures where my eyes were constantly glued. Today this Toys r us the same empty building as it is here.

I love Spirit Halloween, and I don't need to worry about them closing because here in Canada, we still have them! If you want to go to Toys R Us, then come to Canada! Also, a lot of Macy's in the US are getting Toys R Us in them.

Toys r us is now our missing memories. Toys R Us was my favourite place in France because Liminal spaces are missing now. They have missed for a decade
