This was the Toys R Us in Newington, every Christmas, every birthday revolved around this single store. This takes a hard blow to my childhood and the years spent collecting dimes to buy the very best this Toys R Us had to offer. R.I.P Toys R Us

I remember always begging my parents to bring me here ❤️ You were my childhood.. thanks for all the memories Toys R Us❤️

Man this sucks but I am happy to see those two wearing their giraffe costumes for the last day.

Hard not to be brought to tears by this, especially that This was the EXACT store I went to as a kid and remember every moment of being there. As sad as it is at least it had a jolly farewell... ;(

except many, MANY gamers I knew went to Toys R Us, especially when they had their buy 2 get 1 free games. They also were known for exclusive games and amiibo- just look up the Pikachu N64 or the Pikachu Game Boy Advance, they're both Toys R Us exclusives, and are both video game systems.

I cried, and I'm proud that I did, seeing those mascots was awesome. The fact that I will never be able to go there and see a store that I once thought was heaven ever again. But these good times were you had to actually go somewhere are starting to die. People are so lazy these days. This is coming from a young kid, and I honestly hate having to order stuff online. Thank you Toys R Us, I will always, always be a toys r us kid.

Its our fault. We bought them those.

Today we drove by where a Toys R Us was, about 30 minutes from where I lived. I witnessed the sign get taken down, after months of it standing, abandoned, and on the left of it said, " Electronic Express 80% Off! In the future! " I literally have never cried so much in my life.

I remember going to toys r us when my grandparents finally visited.....it was the best.........

I miss toys r us so much. I wish it never closed. Well, it a great memory for all of us right. It will be in my heart forever.

The ship has sunk, that's it ... good memories at Toy's R Us is left?! That's where I bought puzzle boards, monopoly, yo yo balls, bikes, everything?! Best memory, going everyday to play Super Mario 64 on the demo?! Still have my Nintendo 64 I bought there at Toy's R Us?! ... 😀
