As a late 2010s kid (I was born in 2011) I never went to toys r us, but I do remember that day where we were going on a trip and I saw the the Toys R Us Going out of business sign

@@Christianearthpony39 I'm 23 and I still love toy stores too. If I were in Canada right now, I would visit Toys R Us to enjoy the nostalgia. I would also explore the entire store to see all the cool stuff they have and maybe pick out a stuffie or two 😃

@@faithjohnson1499 happy early birthday! my brother & i r twins. my dad & i went 2 disney world with our lake friends in february 4 my second time since i was seven in 2002 & i had even more fun than last time! my brother & i r twins & he didnt go this time. my second favorite part was meeting sulley. he was gonna shake my hand & i hugged him instead & got a picture with him. i saw buzz kissing a little girls hand after that but didnt meet him. my favorite part was meeting woody at toy story land cuz hes my favorite like andy! b4 i met him i took a picture of the toy story mania entrance but didnt go in & i shouldve. i found a video of jessies trading post & shouldve gone in. i definitely weans go back sometime & i will then. i met jessie first, hugged her & she took me over 2 woody!!! i was ecstatic, lost my shit, hugged the shit outta him & told him “hey woody! hey partner!” my dad said itd been a while since hed seen that big of a smile on my face. i actually had a tiny feeling that i was gonna cry but i didnt. i wore one of my toy story shirts & they pointed at themselves on it. they were gonna sign it but i dont think they were allowed. i didnt get an autograph book this time so woody got some paper from a staff member. he signed it first & i hugged the shit outta him again while jessie did. then i got pictures with them & so did our dad. we went back the next day & rode slinky too! i dont like roller coasters but he looked like a gentler one & i gave him a try. we were in the last car & i was nervous. on the first drop i was like “omg”. i felt like i was falling. i said “oh god” when he turned. when he launched i was like “oh god” again but then i got used 2 it. i was still nervous tho. when everybody else put their hands up on the hills i only put one up & held the bar with my other one. wheezy didnt move when he sang youve got a friend in me at the end like hes supposed 2 & neither did his mouth. the animatronics mustve been broken. when we got off slink said “so long pals” & i told him “so long slink”. hes my second favorite cuz im a dog person & he was woodys best friend b4 buzz. i was really surprised i wasnt even nauseous & glad i did it. i saw buzz again after that but didnt meet him again & i shouldve. i will when i go back

@@faithjohnson1499 next month on the 18s gonna be 10 years since i went & got woody cuz hes my favorite like andy!!! i got him with me right now & a couple days after i bought him i promised him id always love him & take care of him no matter how old i am like he did & like bonnie shouldve!!! i didnt care if i was 19 & still dont if im 29!!! but two years ago i was sleeping with him & when i woke up the next morning his head came off :( i was as devastated as andy was when he ripped his arm in the second movie. i guess it was just wear & tear. i got it back on but now it shakes & turns a lot. & now when i pull his string sometimes he doesnt say his sayings from the movie like hes supposed 2 & just says i was being loud. i guess thats just wear & tear too. im trying 2 keep my promise & never, ever, ever, ever break it like andy never did & like bonnie should never have. slinkys my second favorite cuz im a dog person & he was his best friend b4 buzz

I remember I saw that store when I was young but one time I went to smith’s town mall and I saw the logo I started to cry my mom asked me what was wrong I pointed to toys r us and i said I loved that when I went there I never stopped crying when I see the empty place I still cry when I see it I remember I brought a lego Star Wars set and I took it to school and played with a kid we were in the cafeteria he took his Star Wars legos and we battled it was great memories he also missed toys r us

I remember when I went there on the last day most of the shelves or blocked off to and there be only like one thing here in there like it look like it was actually abandoned or crime scene happen then also for the things that were still on the shelves 90% off I heard my location was one of the only locations with stuff 90% off like it even mattered then because basically everything was gone

I had a toys r us that was in a mall that I went to since I was little, in 2022 it closed down. I felt so sad. I actually found out it’s been there since 1985, so it’s one of the old ones.
