I have lots of good memories at Toys R Us during my childhood. My kids won't have that opportunity. I wrote this song to tribute the decline and bankruptcy of a great American toy store brand. Do you have a favorite Toys "R" Us memory? Let me know! Hateful comments will be ignored. Thank you!

When I was a kid, I loved the toys r us store,
I always got excited when I walked through the door!
I haven’t been there recently, I just lost track of time…
I wanna go there again! Well, this is is weird.
My favorite toy store just disappeared.
WAIT, WHAT? When did this happen? The store was right here… and now…. What? Bankrupt…? I can’t believe it. I didn’t even get to spend my gift card! Aw, man….
Don’t wanna be a grown-up without a toy superstore,
But I guess there’s other things that I can do when I’m bored.
I’ll just download some video games, watch online videos,
read a book, take a walk, sing a song….
It doesn’t feel the same…. the toys are all gone.
Time to pay my respects to my favorite giraffe.
I really want another hug to help make me laugh.
Rest In Peace to Geoffrey and all your family.
I don’t wanna grow up but it happened.
Now there’s no more Toys "R" Us for these kids.

Similar thing happened to me, I guess I went to Toys R Us to buy Pokémon and a gameboy when I was 9 or 10. But it’s been 20 years since then :-) A lot has changed in the world since then and Toys R Us will be missed!

i loved toys r us :( and now its all gone not one childhood memory :( :( :( :( I will always be a toys r us kid! :) i wish that it would open its doors again :( :(

I think I have an idea to bring Toys “R” Us back what if they replace Amazon and then it’s still of it’s called Amazon it’s called Toys “R” Us and it has everything but it delivers it right to you there you go you toys “R” Us back
If I had to pick 1 thing (as in the 1999 commercial) from the shop if I turned back time, I'd buy a talking Mirabelle Haywood doll complete with ordinary girl outfit and witchling costume that says 4 phrases (in her own voice) and sings the theme song (not in her own voice.)
