Heated seats, pivoting headlights, collision avoidance, power rear window, back up camera, killer sound system and 5.7 liter engine with the bulletproof 6 speed trans. Immaculate truck! I love it! A lot of people who think they need a crew cab really don't. The double cab Tundra has 35 inches of legroom in the back, which is more than enough for most people's needs. Of course, then you get the standard 6.5 bed which is a must for me.

    I just picked up a 1794 edition in June after driving a Ford Super Duty that I loved for 14 years. I was going to take my time finding a new truck and was debating between another Super Duty or the Tundra. When I heard they were doing a redesign and a turbocharged V-6 I decided I had better get a 2021 with the V-8 while I still could. I’m a former mechanic and I have no interest in a high reving, highly stressed smaller engine with added complexity and higher repair costs that come with it. I really like mine but I’m disappointed that it doesn’t have anywhere near the payload capacity of a typical half ton truck. I wish they would have kept the V-8 and added a 10 speed transmission, I would have waited for that.

  • @checkitout2468

    Part of the reason I went to the Platinum is the better seats. My lower back acts up on road trips. So far the Platinum seats are great, no back issues. The truck is not loud at all, with the exception of the engine and exhaust.. which should be the same on all trim levels with the exception of the PRO. Overall very quiet for a 1/2 ton truck. make sure the Limited has BSM and dimming side mirrors. Game changers for road trips. If you like the chrome look, consider the Limited. Otherwise the Platinum is the way to go IMO. Have fun with it.

    Duel exhaust changes power load and you will notice it. If you want the growl and keep the smooth power band change out muffler can for a slightly more free flowing exhaust. Duel exhaust is amazing but without a tune it kinda seems to bog down. Bumper has crush space like just about every new vehicle. I drive alot of highway so 80 all say. Toyo at 2 s were loud and honestly terrible all around wet traction and high speed stuff, bfg s were awesome ridge grapplers were great but i like white lettering because i am 41 and it is just cool to me. And i also like things made in America so i tried the coopers. They are as quiet as stock i have a 250 powerstroke not unfortunately. They had same fuel mileage as stock and i went up 10 on size and i go 80-85 everywhere and they handle better than stock. Thats my review on them. But may trade my superduy soon for another tundra. love our videos. I have a question . Recently Ive been offered a, 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD - SR5 _ with the 5.7L 8-Cylinder Gas Engine . Miles are under 80 thousand . Its absolutely imaculate. The only thing is its 2WD and not the 4WD , but I prefer the 2WD since it hasnt snowed where I live in 8 years. I can get the truck for under $20 thousand. I would love your advice. I really like this Toyota engine and its a crew cab. Thx Buddy.

    Id say it is . I order one as well 2021 sr5 trd/sport package Very simple trim , yet very functional , it gave me everything I was looking for on a pick up truck and a bit more . If I were into electronics , air ride suspention etc etc i would of got me an escalade , but no ! I want a truck with a truck taste not a truck that looks like a fancy suv. So , yeah ...tundras are worth every penny . ( just my opinion bud )

  • @checkitout2468

    @checkitout2468

    3 жыл бұрын

    Good question, maybe I should make a video on this? The long and short is that the platinum and 1794 are very similar. They are both well appointed with all the bells and whistle‘s etc. Most of the major differences are aesthetics. The interior of the 1794 is a tan leather. Most people seem to either love it or hate it. Also, the 1794 comes with a significant amount of chrome on the exterior especially the front end. Again, most people seem to love the chrome or hate the chrome. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one of these trucks.👍

    I just got a 2021 sr5. this is the 3rd day of owning the truck i found a bunch of problems. Maybe there nothing major but it pisses me off bc its a brand new truck with my hard earn money The rear of the Headliner where it meets the rear window, looks like they cut the headliner short. Not a clean fit. There is about a half inch gap. Right side of the front windshield there is a line from top to bottom. Its a glare / defective window One of the keys they gave me as a chip in the key and it has a had time going into the ignition and starting up the truck, and a hard time taking the key out When i start the truck up and put it into gear and start driving i hear a clunk every time. It has the bed linder from the factory. They forgot to spray the two the hooks towards the back of the bed. They left it un painted On the Front windshield on the outside of the truck, On the drivers side. The seal on the top is starting to come off I will try to upload pictures

    Dang! Sorry! That is such a bummer. You should check the manufacturing date, I wonder if it’s a Covid truck. I’ve heard that there was lots of temporary workers filling in during the early stages of Covid. Manufacturing may not have been as solid. The headliner issue is across the board, all the new truck seem to have that same issue. The other issues seem like they should be fixed. I found a few little things about my truck but nothing too big.
