Thanks for the video. The hog ring tutorial was key for me to change out the bottom cushion on my 2012 tundra. I would not have figured it out so fast without your video. Huge thanks for doing it!

Wow, this is a lot more complicated with the seat heater. You can't really disconnect the heater from the car, so the seat basically has to stay in the car. Everything on the seat belt side is hard, and you need something like those little plastic clothing tag fasteners to connect the seat heater to the seat cover in about 20 points before you start connecting the hot rings. I should add, this product is fantastic. I'm so glad they decided to make seats for this vehicle.

On my 2008 Sequoia Limited, the leather driver's seat lower cushion cover is in good condition- but the vinyl side panel on the outboard side of the seat is starting to crack. I've noticed that most all Sequoias that I've seen take a hit in that area, because its a tall vehicle and you have to slide out and that really crushes that seat side down during that process. Same on the cloth seats. Seems that I have to replace the entire lower cushion cover since I may as well at that point.....

Great video! Does disconnecting the air bag sensor mean that you have to recharge it when you reinstall? Or is it simply a disconnect and reconnect the plug?

Since the Tundra only has seat heaters on the bottom cushion and I got use to a lumbar heater in my Suburban. What are your thoughts of removing the heater from the bottom and placing it in the back for a lumbar heater

Comparing this option to katskin, the price to replace 2 seat bottoms is half their price to replace the entire truck. What makes your product worth the cost? I would prefer to just replace the bottoms but am torn between the 2 options as I am concerned how your seats will match my 10 year old seats.

I bought the bottom seat cover , it just showed up to today, everything looks strait foward, people are mentioning seat heater? I have that, so that's an unknown, the other question is the hog ring plyers , obviously must people don't have a set in their tool box, so should I go buy a PR, or can I improvise with something else???. Help before I tear it apart and can't finish the job

Unfortunately since we don't make the top cover for the Tundra/Sequoia's, we have not made a video for it. However, we will release the top covers down the line and then make the video, thanks for your understanding.

Which holds up better? Vinyl or leather? My 07 Tundra all-leather didn't hold up at all - and the seat bottom is torn. When I recently visited the dealer, they said the newer Tundras don't use real leather since it doesn't hold up as well.

Hey Eric, thanks for reaching out, so there are pros and cons for both materials options so it is up to each person. The leather is going to be tougher and a little more flexible but does not stretch as much as vinyl, on the other hand, vinyl can stretch but cracks easier since it is not as flexible. But if you just added new covers and they are not holding up then it sounds like your foam cushion might be the problem since either material should hold up for quite some time. We would need to see some pictures of your seats and of your VIN# to better help you out. You can send them to sales@theseatshop.com

Hi Kent and thanks for reaching out, we understand the frustration when you do not find what you need but unfortunately being able to manufacture every Year/Make/Model is something we cannot do at this time. Our R&D process is very tedious and when we do complete it our covers will be made correctly since R&D can take some time to complete and we don't like leaving you without an option, you can try using our Nationwide Upholstery shop network to see if the nearest shops to you can try and help you out. - www.theseatshop.com/resources/install-locator/
