The Ford Maverick’s proved there’s a market for a small pickups, and Toyota could join the party as early as next year with the return of the Stout. Toyota is no stranger to the small-size pickup truck market. After all, the original Toyota HiLux pickup is what really brought Toyota its first taste of success in America. But before there was the Hilux as we know it (the Hilux was sold as the Tacoma in the US), there was the Toyota Stout - the Japanese manufacturer’s first standalone small truck for North America. And now the Stout is likely coming back in 2024, possibly as the 2025 Toyota Stout. Sure, only four of the initial-year 1964 Toyota Stout may have been sold, but if the success of the Ford Maverick is any indication, the compact pickup segment is looking up. Toyota has confirmed that a small unibody pickup could be something that they’re working on for a 2024 or 2025 release. And we’d bet top dollar a new Toyota pickup will inherit a bit from the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, at least styling-wise. Not to mention that a Toyota Stout revival has the potential to be the segment-best, just like its elder brother. Here’s how the 2024 Toyota Stout could shape up.

What are you talking about? Light trucks have been around and appreciated ever since their inception. But they are getting bigger every generation, so again - what are you talking about?

Does anyone know if the Toyota stout(T-scout2D:) is really coming back in the two door? Small trucks will do exceptionally well, and I know for a fact . People are actually looking forward to them. (the problem is.) everyone has been “spoon-feed🧠🤤 propaganda” of the big gigantic humongous trucks-by the makers and marketers of these humongous high rulers. that inundates the local parking areas in major metropolitan cities,(big😴😵 trucks have a place no doubt🤔) but small trucks have more of a place🫡 and space, their family orientated, utilitarian, agile easy to Park, easy to drive, and” road friendly” to other motorist, less Blindspot’s good on gas. many females(woman population) without doubt !!‼️‼️ would purchase them: especially if they can afford them. if they were, small, nimble, tight turning radius, very minimal Blindspot’s .And most of all fun to drive. 🤠 and if the price is right $🤑$Toyota will have to open another plants in every other US state in order to make Sale$😱🤗.(my favorite vehicle was in 1983 Suzuki samurai.😆😆😆😁😄😃😀😂😂 I really had one

Toyota has not designed - or even decided to build - a small pickup. They are said to be "considering" it. Channels like this one are only spreading rumors.
