I bumped into your videos and watched a couple of them. I decided to buy one from eBay to try on my 11 RX450H. I was able to use this device to register a used OEM virgin key fob I bought from eBay (again, by following your another video of using TechStream to program OEM key fob). As you said, this device does what TechStream does. I also was able to register 4 aftermarket TPMS. I am not tech savvy. I am more than happy to only use the above two mentioned functions, which were quoted insanely expensive by the local Lexus dealers. I am so satisfied that this device saves me a lot of money already. Now I am going to use it for my 08 RX400H for the same functions. Thank you.

😲 This sound like its sick! Be interesting to see how to program a new kefob on ur 350 and TPMS. Im looking around to get that done, but if i could buy this and do it myself it be a saver 🤑🤘

It has those features. Imma do a video on the 2IS for the TPMS. I have two sets on my car so I’ll just swap the codes between the sets on my future video.

Programs same as Techstream, you need to write down all the sensor codes and input them into the primary or 2nd set. I'll do a video with my 2IS later.

Can it be used for bleeding brakes, replacing ABS Booster with Master Cylinder, and programming the ABS in a 2013 Prius C?

Hi Binh, love the videos! Could I use this to identify a bcu problem and program a new bcu? I have a 02 manual swapped is300 sportcross with a non functioning hatch and I’ve tried pretty much everything to troubleshoot it, and I think it might be a prob with the bcu. Thanks.

Don’t think so. If it’s a wiring or circuit issue, they won’t really detect that.

Anyone know if this will put a 2016 rx350 into Service mode to retract the electronic e-break so new pads can fit in?

No lost key features. But I have the eeprom reset video that works for GS300.

It does have the option to program all new keys and erasing old keys.

I haven’t but it has the ability to program FOBS if you have at least one working one and a new or virginized replacement.

Great video. Can it program a newly cut key to start the car?

Yea if you already have a current master or valet key. Go thru the adding keys menus.

Hi Tuner thanks for the video! Before I buy the scan tool I need to know a few things. I have a 2024 Lexus ES-350. I don't need a diagnostic tool. I need to know if the tool will allow me to CHANGE settings (ECU) such as seat belt warnings, GPS signal, Pre-collision system disable/ enable etc. Please let me know!

Idk what the options are for the 2024. There are different personalized settings in all Lexus vehicles.

Dear, I tried the OBD 2 piece and Wifi, it did not work on the Lexus. I tried it on the iPhone and Android, and it does not work. I want to remove the machine tag. What do you recommend for me? The best device that works for the Lexus is300model2008. Your follower is from the state of Bahrain.

Will it get into the user option menu on a SC430 to allow on/off selection for auto steering column park away and other things like selecting what the key fob buttons will do etc?

Possibly for the tilt steering but no key fob buttons.

Binh, I was looking at getting an otofix d1 or a topdon bidirectional scanner. Wife drives 01 rx300 and I have an 04 is300 MT. Do you think having the scanner you showed having “techstream like” features more valuable than the ones I was looking at that are made more for a tech who will see multiple makes and models? I was leaning towards the bigger boys just to get better capabilities at looking at live stream data graphing etc.

Each of these scanners comes with specialized software for the cars you work on. Some of the more universal scanners may have multiple softwares but may cost more. I’m not familiar with what others offer but for me, this works for my cars.

Going to order one, I'm curious about programming TPMS replacements, my 2008 is simple, does not care where tire is, just needs all 4 serial numbers pushed to the car computer, will this do that? It does not have a reader, so I assume some screen allows you to enter new sensor serial numbers and push to computer through OBDS 2 port? THANKS!!!

For TPMS registration, you need the HEX codes off each sensor and then you input them using the TPMS wizard. I’m planning on doing a video demo of that functionality on my next video.

I have new sensors waiting to install with tire swap, so I have easy access to the serial numbers in case the tire store does not want to just do it as a courtesy, There used to be a ATEQ Quickset TPMS ECU Reset Tool online, around $100 and you loaded serial numbers into PC interface and then into OBDS2 port. but no longer for sale, this scanner is barely more than I was going to spend on that other tool if I got to obsessing about it. I guess it's real value was people doing winter/summer tires as it made trading easy, it had a snow and sun button. I think would hold 2 sets on device for loading ease.

when are you making a video of the 250 in action w the new diff?

I haven’t had much time lately for make any videos. Been working and traveling almost every week since 2024 started.

Just got mine, doing the updates, did you also select the ones that were not pre highlighted? basically did you update everything that could be updated before use? It might be in the quick start guide, but hey, instructions....who needs em'? hahahaha THANKS!!!

I did select all on updates, turns out it will reinstall current ones if you select them, I finally took a picture of version numbers to confirm if they were the same, compared to once one update was installed it then allowed another to be needed for related content. In Diagnose-all, I'm still trying to figure out what difference between "Honda (Dongfeng)" , "Honda (GAC)" and just simply "Honda" The other option on that page is "AutoDetect" If I select "Asian" it reduces to just Demo/Honda/Acura

@@TunerwithKids did you conveniently forget to mention that none of these exciting features are included with the unit, and they must be RENTED at a very high cost separately? Because I have purchased the item at your suggestion and it does not have the features you show out of the box.

@thermal_el_jackson run the updates. It’s included with the Toyota V51 software. All I did was open and update then plugged it in and had everything. Didn’t pay anything extra as the unit I got was advertised for Toyota. They also make a Honda version that has the Honda software.

You can add cars.

You can't program new modules as you need the calibration files from techstream and all immo functions are locked unless you have NASTF account

I got mine in the mail I started setting it up but for some reason it went to a screen that just flashes that shows a vehicle and reads professional diagnostic tool. Any help would be great. I emailed the tech support. No answer yet.

Have you tried programming a smart key? I've been trying with a 2015 Land Cruiser and it always fails at the very end. I also only have the option for Smart Key Registration (Classic). I think tech stream on a laptop gives you the option w/out the classic. The instructions with the classic tells me to hold the fob to the start button on the car.

I haven’t for this unit. I’ve used techstream before to do it. The main thing is the new key has to be brand new or “virginized”. A used key previously programmed to another vehicle won’t work unless you reseed the ECU and start with all new keys.

​@@TunerwithKidsfinally got it done. User error. There was a screen with a countdown for key registration and I incorrectly assumed it was registering. There's a button at the bottom where you have to tell it to register. Good to go now!

will this scanner be able to remove HOLD flashing on my Lexus nx200t

What is HOLD flashing? Its probably an error or bad sensor.

No. Get some sensors for the wheels.

I wonder if it works on JDM Toyota vehicles like the Altezza/Aristo/Chaser etc.

If it has an OBD port, it should. They may have a different port (17 pin?, which requires an adapter)

I had a 07 IS350 JDM import and I needed to get a specific reader that could do JOBD protocol to work. But now with my 2011 IS350 JDM import any standard OBD2 scanner will work

The link provided is for Ford or Honda. Is there a specific one for Toyota?

I think the Toyota version may be out of stock. The units are all the same but the preloaded software might be different so gotta wait for the Toyota Lexus to come back in stock.

Does this device have Google apps or app store? Can you sideload torque pro or other apps?

Yes. It has everything found in Techstream. I played around with it on the 2IS and menus are exactly what I find on techstream. Very useful tool.

Looking forward to your IS250 video on this product. I assume one can read out the transmission fluid temperature. Will it do things like the brake bleeding routine? Thanks for your Lexus content, I may well buy one of these if it is fully featured.

If it’s a dealer tech option in Techstream than it should be selectable in this tool.
