I had a 1968 Toy Landcruiser, that grey factory color, it had the ultra cool round fender mounted turn indicators, it had the 6 cyl inline engine, and my favorite aspect of the truck... had the 3 0n the tree Shifter ! I loved it , drove the hell out of that thing, all thru high school, it was my all time favorite vehicle, of all times, ive had over 20 vehicles in my life but that old Land Crusher was my Favorite.
Absolutely wonderful. I am Australian and it was good to see we had so many models represented. So many memories. Kudos to the curators and guides for showing so much love to an incredible part of world motor heritage and speciality vehicle design and manufacture, thanks for sharing. 😊😊😊
Man, I feel dumb.. I live about 30min away from this! Had no idea this even existed.
A wise Australian once said: “If you want to go into the Outback, drive a Land Rover. If you want to come back, drive a Land Cruiser.”

That’s reminds me of the saying an Alaska bush pilot told me when I was on a Caribou hunt and we had a weather delay that a member of party was growing impatient with. He said, “There are old pilots and there are bold pilots. But, there are no old bold pilots.” Sound advice for life!
Great video for Landcruiser lovers. What the museum needs is what they call a "technical" in the Middle East. It's a Landcruiser pickup with a four barrel automatic anti-aircraft gun in the back. Fire power!
I've owned my '78 fj40 for over 30 years. Sits most of the year.It survived my first wife and my current one keeps asking when I'm gonna sell it! 😂🤣😅😆😁

I’m really looking for a good one that hasn’t been turned into a freak show. Nowadays they are importing totally clapped out South American vehicles, Slap a couple cans of rustoleum on the top, and 30 gallons of truck bed coating on the undercarriage, Then, Putting them up for 40-60 thousand dollars!!!
89/5000 Amazing! What a superb collection! I have a 1981 BJ40. It runs every day. Greetings from Portugal
After watching this Video, i didnt realised how lucky we are in Australia to have most of these vehicles. Toyota Landcruisers are truly legends for being a work horse. #kingofoffroad

How interesting I love Toyota's landcrusier, I really enjoyed everything you stalked about about the history and different models that existed and still exist.
This is awesome! I have a 78 FJ40 Land Cruiser I bought in 95 and restored and upgraded. Did my Baha, Mexico trip last year and I'm heading to Canyonlands this summer. I will make sure to drop by the museum on this trip!
What an amazing video. So glad you started the museum. I owned a 82 . Awesome memories forever. You know your stuff.
I’m in the USA and own a 1980 FJ40 that is originally from South America. Great truck and it runs good, but it has quite a few “creative engineering solutions” from its life in South America that I’m slowly fixing. Taking it back to all original except for a minor suspension lift and 33” tall skinny tires. Great video and amazing museum. I plan to go visit and thanks for the video!
Throughly enjoyed watching this video Cody, well presented a fine collection of vehicles. Thanks fir sharing 👍👌👋🇬🇧

Thanks Tony, I'm glad you liked it!
The Australian 100 series at the 25 minute mark is a FZJ 105 GXL version built in 1999. It has the straight six 4.5 litre engine normally fitted with the auto trasmission. The vehicle shown is identical to my own Land Cruiser. I have rebuilt all of the suspension and bushes and drives as smooth as can be. A really nice vehicle to own. Thank you for such a wonderful museum. It's great to see so many Australian sourced versions on display. I would love to visit one day. Regards to you all.
Perfect video and insane museum!! Just amazing. Greetings from Argentina.

Excellent video guys, I think I'm in love with your museum and I've never even set foot in it. I drive an 80 series with a 1hdft engine and h151 manual 5 speed. I love it to bits and keep it extremely well maintained. Can't wait to get there.
That is Quite-A-Place to go and see. I've been in Salt Lake City no-tell'n how many times in the last 44 years and never new about this place. Lots of History here 4 shore.

Great video for all those people who love the LC. Thank you for reminding me of my beauty HDJ 100.
That was awesome! What a wealth of knowledge that guy has. I definitely need to go visit SLC and the museum. I will bring my 98 90 Series, which I imported into Canada in 2014. The thing is bulletproof. Love it!
Awesome presentation! Thank you very much. I learned a lot!

Great video, love these Land Cruisers!
Great knowledgable video. Nice rundown on the TLC's. Thank you for posting.
In 1975, I bought a brand new red Toyota FJ40 bobtail for $7,500.00. It had a four on the floor, straight six engine, two speed transfer case, 4:11 front and rear. It was good off road. But it had no lockers. It sucked on the highway with the engine revving (no overdrive gear) and low fuel mileage (I added an extra fuel tank for range). The exhaust valves and seats would burn up at high speeds with compression leaks due to the unleaded gas. But I loved that front bumper attached to the frame!
My God , thank you , a dream come true and there is a Landcruiser Heaven , much appreciated from NZ.

Here in Northern Territory Australia we actually NEED the Landcruiser. (And love it too) 👋
i own a kdj125 landcruiser prado which i supppose is only a european model landcruiser. i absolutely love my landcruiser and i have driven it in the sahara desert in morocco on a few trips. thanks for the tour.
I bought a used FJ 40 1971? I purchased in 1972. Green OMG I loved that vehicle. Needed a lot of engine work as previous owner BEAT the heck out of it. Eventually rusted out despite trying to stay on top of that (live in NYS) The was the BEST vehicle I EVER owned period. I purchased a rag top for it for the warm weather times. Unscrewed the hard top off and kept in the garage until the fall. Warn locking hubs…great. I started me early life with a Land Cruiser and would love to wind down my older life with one. Are there any places where this tough old broad could acquire another? I learned the REAL 4 wheel driving with my old “greenie”. I’ll just have to take a leisurely trip out west to check this museum out. Thanks for the tour Oh a diesel would be even better!
Great video and awesome museum!
I say Land Cruiser in my sleep. I've had a 69,71,72,74,(2)75,76,77,82 fj40s 79 fj55 82,83 fj60s 90 fj62 (2) fj80s Proudly drove em all

My first car was a 72 FJ 40. It is still better than any other off road vehicle I have ever driven. The stock brakes were it's only weakness.

I'd love to go, makes me want to start a LC museum here in Aus... For those that don't know, in Australia 70 series are incredibly popular, I own two (HZJ75 and HZJ79, not uncommon here)... but, here they are like the F-series trucks of the US. I actually had a mate who bought a canopy for the back of his HDJ79 (literally the best truck toyota ever built BTW) and went to the guys farm to pick it up, he had no less than 14 70 series, the majority of which were HDJ79's with a couple of VDJ79's and a few HZJ79/75s. HZJ79's are like the poor mans HDJ79 lol and VDJ79's are basically considered the disposable generation, which get crushed after 10 years rather than kept for 50 Here we consider the 1HD-FT, and to a slightly lesser extent the 1HD-FTE/13BT/1HD-T to be the best 4x4 engines toyota ever made, what's the view from over there?
You have to understand Toyota quality to appreciate this video. Tks for sharing
We have a 200 series cruiser 4.5 v8 twin turbo diesel 200kw and 650NM torque stock.. love it and nothing compares.. very easily modified
come on... sing it ... "Oh what a feeling Toyota" I have got to get up there to see this museum, looks like heaven

@@777mortoYou are correct my friend.. no body here seems to remember.. we had a commercial in like 1982 where the guy drove down the street in a Toyota truck and all the trucks in the driveways were upside down and at the end he jumped up and said oooh oh oh what a feeling... Toyota..... That's so cool cool that it's an Aussie one
Omg, simply awesome... I have a 87' 4X4 pickup and a 98' 3rd gen 4runner, love them both but always wanted a FJ55, now the're hard to find... Maybe some day... Thx, Moses...

The best collection of land cruisers I have seen from under restored to restored and current. Who buys them for the museum?
Awesome stuff bro. Years makes I've never seen and out of all would love to see in person is the newer model with solid front axle, and the tiger paint look take the whole family out off road lifted one...!! Thanks for sharing.💯🤙🏽🔥... Landcruser the father to my 1984 1st Gen Toyota 4runner 😁🙌🏽👏🏽🤙🏽😇
Kinda fitting that this museum is in Salt Lake. Landcruisers are like wives, one isnt quite enough. 120 Prado as a daily (you really do need one of these in the museum. It was a revolutionary do anything vehicle here in Australia. Zip around the city comfortably one day, tow a Camper trailer around the Continent the next) 2xFJ40’s in the project queue FJ60 Sahara cut down into a fire rig on the farm.

Great tour LC are the coolest 4WD ever made, have a 77 FJ40 love it would not trade it with any other car .
My POV 74 FJ40, called into EMS action during 1980 blizzard, Warn 8000 winching out fire trucks and ambulances. Transported patients from places emergency vehicles could not reach. Thanks for this video.
im from Australia and I got a swb 40 series ute/pickup truck witch has the original bed I have heard people say that it is a rare model considering I have never seen one before and this museum doesn't have one. the funny part is my dad swapped a carton of beer for it. I have plans on restoring it with a 12 ht engine out of a 60 series and possibly coil converting with a swb Nissan gq patrol chassis
Oh Mate, that's a cool video. I own Fj Cruiser and it's an amazing vehicle. I live in Australia and one day will visit your museum. Congratulations for the video.

Thanks for the video. I came here for the land cruiser prado, but im upset for not having all the prado and showing them
What's not to love about Landcruisers? In Australia, I legally learnt my on-road driving skills in a 1980 diesel 4sd deluxe Hj60 wagon. It was very slow but you would have to deliberately make an effort to stall it. Many years later, I bought a FJ62 Deluxe 1985 wagon. Apart from the mandatory bullbar, it had 35" tyres and was slightly lifted. Otherwise it was stock. Right down to the radio. It was metallic grey with the deluxe grey cloth interior, which to me, is one of the best colour combinations you can get. Everything worked and it had original paint and NO rust. I wish that I had kept that one except the fuel consumption with the 35's on it was around 20lt/100km. I just could not afford to run her!
Very interesting place out of the ordinary
I am positive this is what Heaven is going to look like . 😮
Some dates on those early models would have been nice. Seems like important info for a tour.
Awesome video! I've got 3 of them. ..all FJ40's. '69, '73 and '76

There's a MINI-CRUISER that's specifically designed for Philippine Military back in the 70's/80's that you could probably add to your collections. It resembles the FJ's, but a bit shrunk in version of it. If you're lucky, you may still find some diesel FJ's over there. It used to be very common due to weather, terrain and road conditions.

You can buy the newer 70 series in Belgium as well, and they're for export outside of the EU only.
It's amazing that I am driving a new 70 series which originally came out the same year I was born. I can't think of any other car model that's been in production for 34 years basically unchanged.
11:56 - Fun Fact about the Land Cruiser built in Brazil, in fact its name is BANDEIRANTE. This Toyota was a HUGE hit around here.
Had a '62 FJ40. It had some FJ25 parts on it (intake manifold for one).
