Toyota IQ Used Car 2009 - 2015 Super lo fi review.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Used Car Review. New Prices of the Toyota IQ start at around £7995 - However as Howard Ritchie might prove, this is a bargain used car for both young and not so young.
We picked up this 25,000 mile 2010 car for £3500 which is essentially the same car, half price. Bluetooth is standard across the Toyota IQ range along with a radio, but that's um, about it.
Although there is some playing about, we found this car to be quiet on the small roads and cheap to run, but most of all, very easy to drive thanks to its sporty and fun and light Toyota Steering.
MPG we did not talk about because, as the reviewers quite rightly point out for such as small car and a 0.9ltr engine its actually quite shocking. We averaged about 39mpg for the couple of hours we were driving this city car. The official figures are quite misleading.
That said. If your miles are really low and you want the most fun for the least amount of money and unbeleivable Toyota reliabilty, you should try one of these.

This is my first car, a 2009 iq that used to be my mums, it's a great first car cause it's easy to drive and manoeuvre, your friends can't force you to drive them places cause you can say your car is too small but it still gets you everywhere you need to go:)

Japanese made a roof rack and a roof box for the iQ, short, so it doesn't look like it fell on the car

These are great cars. I've had one since new (2011) and done 110,000 miles. The only thing I've had changed is the water pump at 90,000. Believe it or not it still has the original rear tyres on it and just gone through its MOT! They stopped making them as I think sales were poor due to price but definitely a future classic!!

The IQ is a short car not a narrow car. So why you are driving into a thin parking space and driving down thin roads is beyond me. The emphasis of your 'review' should have been on parallel parking in a tight spot and the IQ's amazing turning circle.

I own an iQ since some years and it's really a perfect car. But you should have tested the iQ with its original CVT-transmission. It offers not only more fun to drive, the car is quieter and much for comfortable, the fuel consumption especially in the city is lower - compared to manual transmission. My average (10.000km in 2 years) ist 60 mpg.

In the USA, Toyota sold the iQ under the Scion brand but, in 2017, decided to stop offering it. My 2013 iQ is closing in on 60,000 miles (96,500 KM) and I haven't had a single issue. I removed the Scion labels and replaced them with Toyota and people come up to me at filling stations and ask about it. (Women say, "That's such a cute car!") I'll probably drive this thing until the wheels fall out. (My other vehicle is Toyota's largest, the Tundra Crew Cab, so guess which one we take out to restaurants??)

Toyota has just blotted its copy book in my eyes. My IQ broke down and was towed to the nearest garage. The garage informed me that the manifold had collapsed but it was on a recall for this part. They got in touch with the Toyota main agent who said they were so busy they could not even look at it for 3 weeks. As my wife needed the car to get to work we had the local garage do the work. We then asked Toyota to refund the cost of the part. They are now refusing to pay for the manifold because the work was not done at the Toyota garage which was too busy to do the work. Catch 22. I will never do business with them again.
