Tacoma looks better than a Hilux TODAY, but a modified Hilux like this, looks darn good. Needs a long bed though

They used to be good. A few years ago th4y settled a class action lawsuit for $3.5 Billion firnrusting frames. Then comes the number of complaints about oil sludging and destroying engines. Seems they got to th4 pinnacle of reliability reputation then became complacent and letting QC go downward. I bought a brand new 2004 4Runner. It was one ifnthe worst cars I've owned. I had spent $3,600 in repairs over 3 years if th3 6 years I had owned it. Worked ok fir the first 3 years then everything seemed to fall apart in years 4-6. Since I had purchased a service contract it was serviced like clock work and all fluids and filters changed right according to factory specs. Toyota? Oh what a feeling as I write another check for another repair.

@@ms.annthrope415 you’re just poor at maintenance every brand has its ups and downs. The one with the least ups and downs well take a wild guess, yea Toyota
As someone who owns and drives a Hilux myself, this is the happiest 7mins of my life today 👏👏👍👍

What is this? 1989 and Jeremy Clarksons science class? Look around, The Americans build much better Pick up trucks now. That includes Quality. Arctic, Great company. Toyota, meh.. Check out a ZR2, Raptor or Gladiator Rubicon.. you are not even into Bison yet.

The Hilux is a great car. This summer I rode it around Russia in 100 days! It is over 30,000 kilometers.
Dream truck! That would be my every day driver of choice.
Now i need to upgrade my hilux to this 😂👍 one of the best hilux builds seen.

What an amazing truck! Arctic Trucks do know what they are doing. I hope that Wild Game Overlanders have epic journeys with that Hilux and then share them with us on KZread.

excellent and beautiful customization. I drove the most basic 2020 version for 50,000 km and it behaved like there was no tomorrow, so smooth and so manageable, so loyal when needed, pleasant experience.
