Last year we tried out the first version of Toyota’s diesel 2.8 liter (1GD). That was with a Hilux Revo - which clearly weighs less as compared to the full size alternative Fortuner. But still the Civic was able to feed it dust. THIS YEAR Toyota’s back with some glossier blackier grills and extra lights.. but wait.. a bigger turbo?

in latest generations from revo rocco and fortuner legender, Toyota replaced the turbo with a bigger one causing significant power increase, old one was 175 hp and 450nm torque but new one is 201 hp with 500nm torque

Was the civic driven on regular fuel or Hi Octane? Have noticed that this facelifted civic performs better on Hi Octane and the pickup improves.

@@usama6817 obviously turbo would win . Lighter than the fortuner, is turbo charged, better aerodynamics. Better road grip, Also is petrol powered, diesel engines tend to be slower and has only 30 more hp than the civic. This civic having a better power to weight ratio anyway.

@@MotorsportsPakistan ok thnx. I drove this on both fuels and can say with a lot of surety that its acceleration gets significantly boosted on HOBC as compared to regular fuel. Do try when u get a chance..

Legender will win due to having 50 more horsepower and a shit ton more torque as well as being lighter in weight. Making it not fair but if raced with the 4.0 prado it will lose not making the race fair again as the prado will be alot more powerful

The third race was a joke r u guys dumb there is no chance for a 2 tone suv to win against the 1.2 tone with a speed at 50km/h the engine takes a lot of power to further accelerate cause it has to increase its momentum more with increasing speed as equivalent to civic as it is easy for civic to do cause it's engine has less weight to carry and inertia helping would make it easier to win sedans can even give cruiser a tough time in that category but Legender still proved itself the best suv there by easily winning the first 2 n competing at the third

It's a Diesel 2.8L SUV which is way heavy then a car like a civic so comparison banta I'd still say the Fortuner did amazing even after being a Diesel imagine if Toyota made the same 2.8L 1GD engine with the turbo as a Petrol instead of a Diesel then even the 1.5 turbo civic would have had a hard time catching up

There is a huge difference in the price of civic x 1.8 oriel and legender but in the end the civic is a teen ka daba and so is the Indus made fortuner better to add some more money and get a jdm Prado which is far better built then these teen ka dabas and worth the extra money this is just my opinion so don't get your feelings hurt or anything if your a fortuner fan
No match . The new 1GD is a monster. Grande,vezel,civic, elantra even landcruiser V8 none can match it
