This is the first time that I've seen an auto mechanic video that was accompanied by Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Not that I'm complaining.

I have watched many of your videos and I feel like you are one of the best and most honest mechanics that I have observed. I am not surprised that you have many "jobs" on your hands! The locals will "network" and find you, you are definitely a very excellent mechanic!! that is because you love your job and you really care about your customers!

Nice to see a car repair video made during a Rust Belt winter rather than sunny California where all parts magically separate with ease.
You've made a believer out of me with that HF impact. After watching you use it in several videos, and your positive comments, I'm adding one to my shop.

Eric I just bought the OTC giant ratcheting snap ring pliers (4513), biggest beast I've ever seen. I used them on a wheel bearing snap ring last night on this exact car, a 2010 Corolla. Didn't prep the snap ring at all, just put the pliers on and BOOM!. I highly, highly recommend you get a pair.
I love watching you massage those snap rings out. So smooth. Thanks!

In the early 1990's, Old Forge made a tool called THE HUB SHARK! I believe it was the same tool as the OTC. Nice job, thanks for all of your knowledge.
G'day, Mr.O!! I enjoyed the video! That was smashingly good video intro, using Classical Music! Extracted front-wheel hub, and then how you removed the snap ring, very gingerly from the groove! Thank you very much for the marvelous Toyota Corolla, Front Wheel Bearing Replacement!! Well done! Cheers! :-)🎼🚗❤️

It's a born skill to be able to work on a car and explain the process of said mechanics. Nice one!! I can do mechanics, but can't explain it for crap tho.
Love the voices you make Eric O, remind me of Wayne's world
Classical and mechanical merged as one can it get any better than this? With a sprinkling of harbor freight and doubleyuh dee love it Eric :)
can't count how many of these I've done but never had sound effects when I reached for the brakeclean. so good.
As usual the best!! I have the HF version of the hub tamer. After the first bearing the forcing screw and nut galled. Got the OTC and that bearing. Sweet.
Eric, You have set a new standard for classiness with this video, how are you ever going to surpass it? BTW it would be helpful to the know the mileage of these vehicles when their parts wear out :)
The music reminds me of that scene in Ace Ventura pet detective!
Thanks for the refresher vid 06 forenza this weekend bearing & couple ball joints. Keeping the neighbors rolling
"Welcome back to the South Main Auto" Thought that I was watching "Fix it Angel" for a moment there. My Snap-on is the weak sauce air hammer.

Bravo, you're right - like to see you wrench. I must comment that I'm always impressed and taken when watching your electrical detection and repair like with the heater motor the other day - thanks for all your stuff I enjoy it
Great video. Dont be afraid to repeat videos. We enjoy them all!
Yep. That confirms it. I'd rather be covered in dust and flies, in 40°c+ heat, working on mechanical components covered with thick bulldust than work on wet, cold, mud covered corroded components and cop a bath at the same time !!!!. Screw that !!!!. Great vid as usual but was waiting for yourself and your lady to waltz past. Maybe next time. 👍👍

Classical music for a classic problem :-) If it was my car i would want both doing at the same time, if one is dead, the other is likely going bad. (Save having problems later).

Not true. A modern bearing doesn't usually "wear out" they fail. Maybe not manufactured perfectly, etc. I've changed one wheel bearing and put another 150,000 miles on with no problems from the other.

I disagree. It's normally the right side bearing that goes first due to "right turn on red" I suppose. Not sure if that's the reason but it normally is the right side that gives it up first.

In late 2012, nearly a year after I bought my '03 Mazda P5, the left side wheel bearing went and so far the right side is fine, and at 67K or so miles later, still fine. I bought the car with 110K or so miles on it to begin with.

Thanks for the vid. Snagged the big boy earthquake impact gun from HF and it made the job a breeze. Got the hub puller off of ebay. Forgot the snap ring while assembling the passenger side back together. So after reassembly of both sides twice I am now a pro lol. Thanks for the vid!

I used to say the same and THAT was the exact reason I originally bought and still usually use the grappler (I have the matco version) BUT I was trying with the more common 5lb slide that comes in the 9-way or 10-way kits by various brands (mine's OTC). I finally bought OTC's 10lb slide like Eric O is using and it makes the job MUCH easier. I can't slam'em out in three hits like 'flat-rate-master' does, but the 5-6 hit range like Eric routinely does isn't out of the ordinary. Honestly I just do prefer using the Grappler BUT not every knuckle has spots on it where I feel comfortable using it. I'll grab the slide any time I think I might wind up mangling the backing plate with the Grappler.
I appreciate the video and removal but I personally found it easy to purchase the bearing, hub and spindle with new brake shield for $100. Solves all the headache and rust issues. Looks like a pita doing it like this. Love your content. Thank you. Dont know how i missed this video. Followed you for 6 yrs or so and own same vehicle.
Locking snap ring pliers would be a game changer. Thanks for the idea for the invention
Will the WD dry out the grease from the bearings and cause fusing , i was told by a mechanic WD is not a true lubricant its a water displacement rust remover
