in a nutshell the corolla has evolved from a 60s family hauler to an 90s tofu hauler and then last but not least.. a 2010s family hauler

Literally everyone in this comment is wrong. The GT-S IS an AE86. The United States received two versions of the AE86. The GT-S with a 4A-GE, and the SR5 with a 4A-C. We received the Trueno model with the option of a Coupe or Hatch. Japan had many different versions, including a GT-V, GT-APEX, SR, SE, XL, etc. Takumi had a Zenki Trueno Hatchback.

I believe this is limited to the US/Canada market. And only one example per year. If it included the variants plus JDM, South American, European, Asian, and Australian versions, the video would be over an hour long. Though interesting.

@@christopherconard2831 I remember seeing the older Corollas in movies made in Canada. Specifically Vancouver. Also Montreal and Toronto.
I owned three 2nd generation Corolla wagons. To this day I find they were the best designed, most reliable cars I've ever owned. Too bad most of them have been crushed.

I owned a '74 Corolla SR5, a '94 Corolla sedan, and a '90 Corolla coupe. My '74 was nasty-wild Isky cam, headers, 4-barrel, widened SR5 rims out back 13x5 w/ beauty rings. I miss her.

I had a 77 KE30 with a transplanted motor from my 71TE,. 2T-C bored .030 over due to scarred cylinder wall, Cannnon Inductions Sytems camshaft, Clifford header, Weber 32/36. Fun fun machine right? Remember that nasty idle from the big cam. Back when I had mine people flipped when they heard it.
Thank you for sharing. Excellent video.
cara meu carro tem minha idade!...........gostei dos modelo 1990,1985 e 1986.........big like.....parabens pelo video e a coletanea de um dos carros mais queridos que existe
My mom had a ‘78 Liftback, and I loved chillin in the trunk on the driveway with that huge widow! Ah good memories.
Man old Corollas till 2010 used to look good ,they looked sporty, boxy and meaner in looks, better than today's soccer mom car
Did miss some old ones but I saw the 86 which I came for! Thanks
You can tell when the computer design age starts coming into effect when you look at the 84 Corolla.
One of the most RELIABLE well made cars EVER BUILT! Disagree all you like i do not care, the fact of the is the Corolla has held most reliable for many many many years and probably will continue to do so!!

I drive a black 2018 Toyota Corolla sedan, and I really love it! As a matter of fact, I really love the Toyota Corolla sedans from 1975 to the present!
Thanks...very good presentation and information
P.S. This video is very good. Each generation model we can make sure soon. You took much time and effort. Thank you

Agree. I think the Scions stole all the fun 2 door, hatch and wagon fun away. A 2 door GT or SR5 would give the Civic 2 door versions a run for their money.

A friend of mine had a 77 Corolla, and I had a 77 Buick Riviera, his was a go cart compared to the buick ride and comfort. Gas was cheap back then, so I didn't mind the bigger more comfortable ride over mileage 😎
Still have that 84 rocking..totally genuine🤘

The 69 looks hella fancy. Something that you would probably see in a spy movie.

Love the soundtrack. But there are lots of Corollas missing. Moreover I'm not sure of the accuracy of the years for some models. Corollas are indestructible cars. Overall great video.👍🏿

1976 Toyota Corolla, 1600 Hardtop [Third (3rd) Generation) Super 👍
my dad first car was 1974 corolla..then 82 carolla..then dad switched to 91 nissan sunny..now i have suzuki alto vxr
For me the last 2 gens are the best!
Some of these models are more reliable and better (trouble free) than the others but not necessarily the latest ones.
TE72 all the way! 3tc 1.8 engine and the looks!!!!! Love my car!
My brother owned a 2nd gen, I think it was a '72 model, in the late 80s. Was very clean and ran well. He thought it would become collectable, but economy cars never seem to be collectable, do they? After they get over 25 years old, you can't get parts anymore.
The best selling car of all times
He visto algunos modelos en la calle que no están en este video. Corolla si que tiene modelos.
7th generation is most beautiful design of all time 💪
i grown up with 7th gen corolla im miss old car....
the 1st generation Corolla, known as KE 10, came out in 67 I think. I was 18 in 1968 and my father gave me a brand new 2 door KE 10 Corolla for my high school graduation gift on April 1968. It was Fife Red with beige seats. Loved that little car, so well built. Only one problem, the hood when opened rested on a small latch and oftentimes I would forget to release it so the hood can come down. But the latch (on the right rear of the hood could not release on its own thus pulling the hood down wound bend the side of the hood which would then need straightening. Toyota should have just installed a long thin metal rod to hold the hood up, and then lift the hood to remove the stick to lower it back in place.
90 года самая лютая🤟
