This is exactly what I needed. Have a 2004 Avalon. 2 bulbs out. The drive shift bulb and the odometer bulb. Great info. Thank you very much. Mothers car and she won't part with it. Hope it goes a million miles. Thanks again....

thank you. great video for me! i have a 2001 avalon xls with 523,000 miles. still a great car. several of these bulbs are out too. any tricks remvoing and replacing that one bank of plugs would be appreciative. i would hope it can be done without removing intake.

Hi i have a 2002 Avalone lxs ,i have a buzzing sound coming from inside the cluster do you think it could be some relay causing that ,i dont believe there are any mechanical moving parts in it.

Hey man so I have a Toyota Avalon 2004 most recently a new tire was put onto the car on the right passenger side unfortunately the car has sustained a bit of damage on the fender and slight damage on the bumper causing it to not be able to attach on that side therefore the wheel well cover was much too close and was causing a very unpleasant sound and just an eerie feeling I know it’s not as big of an issue as some may think it’s not as bad as I’ve ziptied it’s down and try to get the tire as much room as possible it almost looks and fits as if there’s a spacer or something causing it to pretrude further out than all the other stock tires I know it was completely exchanged out rim and tire I know with it being a new tire it has more tread and is it a big bigger to some degree with it being the new causing it almost to be a bit bigger from maybe the eyes point, also having trouble all my dash lights work signals and all but for whatever reason when I gear into drive nothing is lit up at that point I attempted to reset the battery and something about the gas cap so I read and my check engine light and vsc had went away for a second leading to it turning right back on and my Drive still not being lit

Dash and cabin temp gauges are not working..temp is usually at 70, now it says 24.5 or something like that…date etc are all wrong now also. Is the car safe to drive? And how do I fix it

Hey Leonard! Thanks for the spot-on video. My wife's speedometer light blew last week. We have a 2003 Avalon w/211,000 miles. I'm also starting to get some vibration in the steering wheel at 20-35mph. It has fairly new tires that were balanced and aligned upon mounting. Any idea?

@@garycarter3164 you’re welcome there’s many things that could be suspension wise raise the vehicle up and check for anything loose but more than likely it’s something that is spinning when going down the road Is it doing it whenever you’re breaking?

Same for a 2009 xls??

LOl....taking it apart i can do easily . its putting everything back together so it fits correctly is whats tricky. So little tolerance in how they fit into each slot. thumps anyway for the info that will come in handy if i take to a dealer to get serviced.

My 2000 avalon gauge signals at permanently on Zero. Temperature, RPM, MPH and Fuel gauge all down to zero and wouldn't change no matter fast I drive. Any helpful advice will be appreciated

Check any fuses associated with that if not that’s probably an internal problem in the gauge cluster this may sound dumb but smack it and see what happens

My grandpa had a car like this today 2003. July 7 2021 the engine light came on we were driving to exon gas station after church agin it’s was sounding weird I asked these boys to help they helped jumper cabled it then 10 mins later in the parking lot it shuts of by itself I’m panicking and scared then we told those boys it broke so now it is at the gas station over night tomorrow my grandpa is getting a new car.

I actually do that for a living some I install them check to make sure there’s no broken parts also where the front of the glass pushes against the wind deflector make sure the wind deflector is going down properly The sun roofs have a feature if something is in the way they will not close try holding the button down it should close

how many bulbs are on the dash? And the display with clock, etc just turned itself off and won't turn back on. Any ideas?

That’s pretty easy if you open your consul lid there’s a plastic cover around where the consul lid latch is if you pull that off there’s two Phillips head screws pop the trim around the shifter out and the gray bolsters that run up the side of the consul they should come out together Then you can change the light up under the selector

Mine doesn’t shift quite that high but it’s somewhere between 2000 and 3000

I did the ones on my car it’s three nuts at the top two bolts at the bottom and you have to take the sway bar linkage off support the knuckle with a piece of wood and a jack use the Jack to position the knuckle in the perfect spot to pull the bolts out with no tension on them they are going to be extremely hard to get off they’re extremely tight just don’t do what I did and tighten the strut tower nuts to tight and I snapped one off

Yes it’s just too nuts on the top two at the bottom holding the strut assembly to the knuckle you must support the knuckle with a jack and a piece of wood remove three nuts at the top two bolts at the bottom and remove the sway bar linkage it helps to have a friend help hold the knuckle while you get the new strut assembly into place put it back together in reverse and make sure you get an alignment

This video helps out a lot! My wife has a 2004 Avalon XL and we hear what sounds like a stabilizer link rattling. We have the link replaced, no rattle. We've done this twice and twice, the rattle comes back after 3-4 months. Thoughts?

Probably cheep parts going bad get them yourself and replace it your self with quality parts it’s very easy it’s 2 14 mill nuts

To test it have some one push on the car up and down while you grab the sway bar and sway bar link if you feel the clunk in the part your grabbing then that’s the prob

@@leonarddroneview6947 I agree with the cheap parts scenario. The sway bar bushing were replaced too. Thank you for your insight and this video gave me the view I needed to replace those bulbs. I ordered a bag of 20 plus I'll get the nylon pry bar set from Harbor freight. Total cost of EVERYTHING, less than $17. Thank you!

Get something off of rock auto quick struts but do not expect protection in my experience all my own car quick struts they tend to make noise popping and such. I would recommend KYB

Or another option just replace the strut not the spring that would be cheaper and you would still have the same quality ride also replace the upper strut mounts and bearings

Hey bro, I have the same car but my problem is my tail and licenses plate lights aren't coming on. I've replace the 10A fuse and bulbs but every time I switched on the lights, the fuse pops. I've already poped like 5 fuses. Do you know what's causing this ossue?

I would assume more than likely There’s a short in the wire somewhere I would trace the wire back and see if there’s a short or a pinch in the wire somewhere

Another thing there could also be something wrong with the connector that plugs into the tail light or the tail light itself I would unplug everything and try them one at a time see if it stays on if it pops when you plug in one of them you found the problem

Can you replace with LED bulbs?

Don't. The light won't appear right. Just use halogen.

Hey you did not show how to replace the mileage bulb. cause there is not one you have to replace the entire led display from what i saw when taking mine out. i think the bulb is part of the crystal display.
