Same. I'm 20 years old and still have my favourite childhood toy, it's completely unrealistic to just give it away. At least save it for your own kids! Just like the memories I have of playing with it, I don't think I could ever let go of it.

And what happens if Andy comes home from college and ends up visiting Bonnie? I agree with the Super Carlin Brothers’ conclusion: This movie should’ve been called “Woody”. The film is more about him than the rest of the toys and is more of an epilogue or a side story than an actual “Toy Story” with all of the toys.

Benjamin Maybury I agree with Buzz as he kinda got butchered but Woody had turmoil that he struggled with his beliefs and were he belonged. Did he belong with a kid? Was he lost? Woody stayed Woody he just found his time with a kid was done and decided to let other toys to experience what he did, so he helps other toys.

You, like the few people who agree with you, are the type of people who don't agree with something if it is not the way you would have wanted it to be and would never be satisfied with a movie that didn't fit your expectations. This movie was the ToyStory ending we didn't know we needed. Just like life, it puts us on a different path and throws curve balls and is messy and unpredictable. I'm glad it wasn't anything like the previous one, not everything can be solved in a group because we are all fundamentally alone and at the end of the day have to do what is best for us as an individual. It shows growth from just being a kids toy to actually being more than that. Like how you should do what makes you happy at the end of the day... Anyway I always enjoy other people's perspectives even if I don't believe/agree in them, it's cool to see how other people think ✌

I would give a response to you're last comment but I'm having trouble understanding you're wording. This is also one of my favourite franchises so I feel bad that it clearly broke you're heart. I'm sure we both fell in love with these movies as kids and unfortunately we have two opposite perspectives. Could it have been better? Probably. But that can be said about literally everything. I hope you watch it one day with your kids and see that maybe it's not so bad

Barbie was so important in the third movie I straight up didn't notice that Bo Peep wasn't there. I actually felt bad when the movie started and I realized that I forgot her.

They decided that it would make no sense to have little kids playing rough with a fragile porcelain doll, the 4th movie genuinely didn’t care and decided to rewrite her entire character.

By the end of the film, Woody becomes the one thing he feared most in the world at the franchises’ start: a broken toy without an owner. Now that is called growth y’all

Toy Story 4 already explained that Bo didn’t want no damn owner as much as Woody tried to convince her she wouldn’t. The reason being *spoilers* is she waited on her lamp for so long and eventually gave up to go out on her own as a lost toy. However I agree that it was bullshit to see Bo still caring about the other toys at the end but that wasn’t enough to bring her along

Looking back on it toy story 4 to me felt more like a fanfic

To be completely honest, Toy Story' should've just ended in the 3rd movie, it's already a nice and heartwarming ending Really, when I was watching Toy Story' 4, I was slightly dissapointed, it's giving me such mixed feelings but I do have to admit that the animation does improved

I mean they were stuck together while they were with Andy, like finishing their cycle as their toys. With Bonnie is different, since well, Woody is not played with, so there's no reason to have him around. And Buzz was really mature realizing that, which is why they "broke" the promise, since they'll be friends to infinity and beyond. Dunno, felt that way to me

I'd say it represents more Woody not wanting to communicate with his kid anymore. He still has his own voice but the voice box is what kept him connected to kids as its the voice they heard. He's no longer a working toy, he's retired.

Can’t wait for Toy Story 5. When Andy starts to think about his childhood memories, that’s when he is going to reach out to Bonnie. When Andy finds out that Woody is missing, that is when the movie will come full circle. Andy will search for Woody and be their for him, like Woody was always their for Andy.

The one thing I HATED about this movie was how they severely dumbed-down Buzz's personality. I REALLY wanted him to be in there more, but instead they gave the spotlight to Bo Peep--I guess that's not a bad thing, perhaps they could have made up some reason for side-lining him, like he gets injured or something, or even doesn't go on the trip--EXCEPT for the fact that they made him just so dumb! He was as equally as smart and emotionally intelligent as Woody in the other movies, but here he goes around blindly listening to his "inner voice" when he clearly displayed having a real conscience in the previous movies! Please tell me someone else felt this way!!!

TS 2: buzz leads the toys TS 3: Buzz gets messed with for half the movie TS 4: *relies on a voice control to control his actions*

Ducky and Bunny actually do have the scene he mentioned where they realize they don't want to be with Bonnie. After they nearly get killed by the cat and Bo and Giggles are leaving, they are saying they'll find their own kid. Sure it's not perfect, but it's not like it was completely dropped.

Crazy Smith i just think the concept might have looked better on paper, but the ending was really bad imo because Woody himself has told us all, that the most important thing for toys is for them to be there when they’re needed, and then he just leaves everyone behind.. the villain was also really boring compared to all the others 😩 but now they should fix it with another movie 🤣😂🤣

Agreed, for me it was just okay, but was not necessary, and ruined a perfectly good ending to a perfectly good trilogy.

I'll admit that I didn't like Toy Story 3. The ending just felt wrong, if that makes sense. I ended up not watching 4, and seeing this review justifies that decision. Andy should have kept his toys to give to his kids, or at least Woody. Maybe I'm just sentimental, but I hate seeing things get thrown away like this. I'll just stick with Toy Story 2 as the ending of the series.

Sadly, I watched Toy Story 3 and 4 and when both came, I cried cause of the endings. Toy Story 3 felt kinda(?) out of nowhere but I guess I understood since Andy is growing up. But Toy Story 4? Ugh. I'm sorry but I didn't like it. Probably cause it was my childhood. It just hurts to see the gang part ways. I also totally forgot about Bo Peep in TS3 so never noticed she was gone til TS4. She legit felt kinda forced to be there and be Woody's ending.

I also personally think that it's more about the second conclusion of the other toys, including the main characters, the (finally) real conclusion of Bo Peep, and the conclusion of Woody. Now, if you're wondering how she became a lost toy, you can watch a short movie about it. Overall, I don't feel the same way as you do, probably because I'm in a different generation, but I get where you're coming from. Anyways, that's it from me!

Personally, I prefer all of them, since it is about character growth after all, even if that doesn't make any sense to you. Also, you should take reviews with a grain of salt. Yes, reviews are valid, but as LS Mark says, "Go watch [insert movie here] for yourself." That's all from me!

Yeah, that would be a really atleast nice ending for us viewers who's childhood was them. And then Bonnie was also there, coincidentally, bringing a young brother/sister/kid with Andy's old toys, y'know Buzz, Jessie, Mr. Potatohead, etc. Yeah.. That would be a nice way to end it.

Except for the part where he tries his best to keep his voice box, but I guess in the end, he realizes that he's not what he used to be, and so, he willingly gives up his voice box to Gabby Gabby.

In the beginning of the movie, I had a concept that the toy car should've fell down the sewer from the fail attempt to bring him back. Would've set up a darker more emotional beginning. With that being said this would be the main driving point in Woody's motivation to "bring a toy back home".

"A closure we didnt know we needed." Woody was never neglected before. He was a favorite until this movie. So it's not that we didnt know we want or need it, it's more like we really didnt want or need it, but we welcomed it.

@@Billy-qw8ub Nah man, Andy still loved woody. Unlike Bonnie who just flat out forgot woody and was worried about a spork, Andy was worried for both of them when he couldn't find them. He may have preferred Buzz at the moment, but I don't think he stopped playing with him any less with someone like Mr. Potato.

@@mparagames true, I worded that not that well. I meant at the time of buzz Introduction that buzz did get the spot light. Andy still cared for the two even with the introduction of the new toy.

Me too, I understand that it meant that Woody was growing as a person (or toy?) it just felt out of nowhere when I first watched it and cried so hard that everyone around me was laughing at me. I don't know about them but Woody and the gang were my childhood and it just hurts to see them part ways. :(

Some people think Gabby Gabby would have been loved anyway despite a faulty voice box, but it's so easy for a toy doll to end up seen as creepy like Chucky. Especially if the voice box is broken. She really did have barely a chance.
