The funny thing is that I have no use for a toy hauler, but I like these better than a lot of normal trailers. Something about a very open space and having that deck option is really appealing to me.

Toy hauler's review must to mention the dimensions of the garage so users would know if an SxS can fit or not.

Reason why I would not give Grand design and number one spot is. You spend all that money and you only get 30 amp service and one AC unit. I checked and looked all their g series toy haulers all are 30 amp. For the price point it should be 50 amp with two AC. What do you think

I’ve owned 3 of your top 5 TH.. after all said and done. I now have a 2022 heartland fuel 287.. huge garage (16.6ft) azdel construction, aluminum structure walls and ceiling. 1 mega slide.. biggest camp window Ive ever seen. Solid wood cabinetry that are pocket screwed. Been full timing in this unit since Aug of 2022 (over 12,000 miles traveled) with no issues. Does have 2 flaws .. needs a 2nd a/c being 37 ft long. And wish it had 3 season patio doors.. but still love this TH …. Patio is a must if your buying one. We use ours everyday. Grand designs does make a great th. I just like the heartland fuels layout better.

So we are considering a 25g.. My question and it could be a dumb question..also I think I am not researching correctly but is the momentum g series the only brand that has the Available 3 season doors. Also are they lockable...as in if you were to leave your camper for awhile would you be able to securely lock up the trailer while still having the back deck down or would you put it up. The 3 season doors is what is making the decision for us.

The Grand Design is really nice. Maybe they could have placed the TV in the corner across from the couch? If it was placed high enough it shouldn't get in the way. Then where the TV is placed now they could make a storage cabinet. If possible.

ATC is the way to go. You could by the 28 front bedroom 2 years ago for 70k now they want close to 100k. The floors from the bathroom forward are now a composite. ATC needs to step up there quality control and go back to all aluminum.

For me, ATC, Outdoors RV, Desert Fox would be top tier, but then I specifically like to boondock off the beaten path. Grand Design has some nice features, but unfortunately I think they no longer offer propane fridge. K-Z has also always been quality.

I agree about ATC. We've had ours for 4 years and it's solid. We lived in it for the first 3 years. No rot or rust and it's lightweight for a toy hauler. The one they featured here is a 29' and has a larger garage. Ours is a 28' with a slightly smaller garage area, but we have a walk-around bed, not the one shoved in a corner.

We've had an ATC for about 4 years and lived in it for the first 3 years. It's amazing and extremely tough. I wouldn't say it's like an Airstream because they have wood inside. This has no wood. It's all aluminum structure, cabinets, and floors. The walls are Azdel. There is nothing that can rot or rust.

As others have said, ATC should be the #1 on your list. Momentum should be #2 and all forest rivers should be recycled and used on a quality trailer. ATC is a great concept company but their trialers are very cold feeling and looking on the inside. Like literally cold because of the materials used. Will they hold up until your grand kids have grand kids? Probably. As for the Momentum, they are behind the game as for what people use these things for. Let's face it, most people that buy these toy haulers are using them for their SxS or sand car and they're dry camping. Payload ratings are crucial along with fresh water capacity. ATC is, again, the top of this list where Momentum hangs out with Forest River in that category. I've seen way too many of these brands at the desert that have so many problems or fall way short compared to others. The two top dogs I see at the desert are Eclipse and Genesis. That's why I went Eclipse Attitude for my second toy hauler. My first was a Fleetwood Gearbox but they went out of business. Fleetwood probably had the best toy haulers for that time. Built like a tank. I only sold it because I needed something bigger for my growing family. My Attitude is also a tank. 3 years and very minimal issues. Mostly due to supplier faults. It has the most payload and fresh water compared to others its size. I shopped around for months and this was the only manufacturer that came out way above the rest. My local dealership has dropped all Forest River products and went Momentum. They couldn't give their Forest River inventory away lol. Of course, if the average person isn't pushing these things to their limits like at the deserts here in SoCal, Forest River will probably be ok at your local KOA lol.

Honestly I think you guys messed this whole category up with the exception of the ATC, and a budget option maybe. I can name them at the moment, but I KNOW I've watched some unbelievable 5th wheel toy haulers that are absolutely gorgeous, and yes, not cheap, but when you are saying "the best of" I think you need to really do some homework on what's really out there.

@@lifeaftereverything4986 Yes, I tend to lump the 5th wheels in as travel trailers too, and not make that distinction, but technically you're right, but I'm betting there's still better stuff out there not 5th wheel oriented.

@@6thwatergateplumber I totally agree... There are definitely better travel trailer toy haulers out there... Not sure how they keep coming up with these lists but none of them have made sense (especially this year). I chalk it up to lack of knowledge outside of the handful of brands they sell. It also seems that they are not open to researching or learning about the particular things that make a high quality RV...

It feels like they only seem to focus on how it looks and if it's"nice" more than how it's built... Probably because they don't really know very much about what makes an RV well built (except that Azdel is a green based material 🤔🤣)... They need to actually put some effort into learning the mechanics that make a great RV
