I know of 2 friends that have had cats as pets for years and in these 2 cases, they’re able to conceive but miscarry by 10 weeks of pregnancy. It’s happened to them 4-5 times. Could they have any T-Gondii antibodies in their system that could be causing them to miscarry?

So yes cats are a required host but they only shed oocysts when they are 1st infected for 2 weeks. In addition, it takes more than 24 hrs for the oocytes to become infected. So routine/daily scooping of litter boxes greatly reduces chance of infection
