You are 100% right. My doctors are treating me the same way and it's infuriating. The first doctor I saw wrote a diagnosis of “fear of parasites”. Then I got “do you see a psychiatrist or therapist?” a few times. Now it's really bad and I'm immunocompromised so that doesn't help my body fight this thing. Hopefully you have had better luck getting rid of whatever is in you seeing your comment is 4 months old.

Same here. I will never go to a doc within the Kaiser system again. They ALL see my chart and immediately imply I'm crazy. No other health insurance. I'm learning about herbs, tinctures, & essential oils. Lots of studies done recently showing positive results with natural things.

What about Lyme? Many people with MS have a untreated Lyme disease infection. I have Lyme and was misdiagnosed for 20 years… Lyme can cause brain lesions too. Although I also have Toxoplasmosis- it gets hard to tell what was caused by which infection…..

I believe there's another way to get toxo. I think they can come along with something else that hatches out of cat dung. That would be strongyloides. I also think that in the case of chronic human infection, the toxoplasma is working toward making conditions in the human host appropriate for their sexual reproduction. My observations are from watching two little old cat lovers die from their liver, pancreas, lung, and muscle problems and also watching the next generation that moved into the place progress towards the same demise! A lot of the cats they have taken in over the years die prematurely, I know I got strongs out of the place! Somehow I managed to survive the hyperinfective state they can go into! That was 13 or so years ago, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride that I thankfully did not have the help of modern medicine with. The idiots would have killed me treating symptoms and never looking for the cause, as they are still doing with this family.

This is why I've stopped eating anything raw. I cook all fruits and veg into teas and broths. If I want it cold, I fridge after cooking.

I've taken iver with good results, but not daily for a good length of time. Worth a try. I'm learning about herbs, tinctures, essential oils, and have had good results so far. There are many recent studies using natural things, showing almost 100% cure rates. Good luck to us all!

Unfortunately there is no cure, only medications to manage it during its acute infection form. I would recommend keeping your immune system strengthened through diet, consistent sleep schedule, vitamins, etc., in the very rare instance that it “wakes up” from its dormant stage.

There are a lot of drugs out there that can treat it. The most common drug combination used is pyrimethamine/sulfadiazine. Another drug combination used to treat it is the antibiotic bactrim(SFX-TMP). Almost any antibiotic can treat this protist. Other antibiotics include clindamycin, clarithromycin, doxycycline, minocycline(in animal models), and azithromycin. Keep in mind, these medications only treat it in its active form but not in its dormant form.
