Tanks like Doom are always harder because low rank players have no idea what to do when they can’t just stand behind an sig or rein shield all game. Like 80% of players below gold just stand in the middle of main shooting a choke.

You’re the one who tought me the slam cycle when you were coaching SVB and doom has been my favorite tank ever since!

I know Sam talk some shit about bad teammates, but at least he does it privately and not flaming in game chat or even worse in match chat so the enemy team sees you tilting. I rage teammates all the time, but just on my own. Nothing helps talking shit and tilting your team.

Ofc that's not true for us normal people - we need to work on getting better! And don't whine to your teammates ingame. It won't help, it only makes you and your team feel worse. Yes, offer suggestions to swap or make better plays - but having a positive/neutral mindset is wayyy better than tilting. Enjoy the game! Play to get better!

Yeah a lot of the time low rank players will hard focus on the mistakes that their team is making and not realize the mistakes that they are making. Biggest example is when your team is inting, and rather than going back and regrouping, you go in and stagger your teamfight even further

It’s not that you can’t have bad teammates it’s that you can’t control what your teammates are doing. So blaming an aspect of the game you literally can’t control is even MORE redundant. At least blaming yourself on the things you COULD have done better on is actually something you can control

The hardest part of doom for me isn’t even his mechanics, it’s communication. You have to coach everyone because no one knows how to play around him.

Been wanting to learn him and Ball on an average level, but with it being only one tank, I psyche myself out on trying them.

Start a season out by playing only them, that way it doesnt feel like a big loss when you inevitably mess up. And for the love of god, dont equip a doom player icon or you'll meet orissa on spawn every game lol

Im t500 Doomfist now but I personally noticed Diamond and above is where people counterswap less and just stick to what they’re generally good at or main. Ironically I was in ELO hell for plat as that was the hardest rank for me to climb out of. Diamond and above was straight slingshot to GM.

So overall this is decent doomfist gameplay, but definitely seems unlikely to reach GM, especially without placements. If he started in plat I’d wager masters 4 after 300 games. He whines constantly about his team, and was often making absurd mistakes. Especially Suravasa and esperanca near the end; that was just bad doomfist play. We don’t get to see illios, but he’s already feeding again, missing his abilities, I imagine that’s another loss.
