I feel like no other character has ruined the meta and sucked the life out of this game as much as Mauga since probably Brigitte

Lol Metro almost never uses his shift to escape, it gives more value for that than leaping on people.I shift mauga to flee or run through a team to disorient them.

I have an idea on how to balance Mauga that nobody has mentioned to the best of my knowledge. Nerf his ammo. Much like waiting for Bastion to exit turret form, Mauga's biggest issue is having to stop to reload. So if you made that happen more frequently it would leave the enemy more chance to counter play. Would just make for more strategy IMO

Honestly his biggest issue is cardiac Probably the strongest tank ability amd its on a 10second cooldown Almost all of the rest are on a 12-14 second cooldown Plus hes still super strong after it ends I always thought it would be better to make him more succeptible to damage after cardiac ends so he actually has to be careful with cardiac instead of mashing the button every time its available

Honestly i always wondered what if mauga got a debuff after using cardiac that made him take more damage for a little bit so its really strong while its up and then hes weaker for a little after

Whenever u lose, there is like an Ana on the other team. Also, i feel like Sigma is quite effective against Mauga if both team's supports are focus healing on tanks. Also, if the enemy Doomfist ignores Mauga and go for Mauga's teammates then Mauga cant help his team much except for his ult that comes up too slow to matter much. These are some of the ways to counter Mauga that I see from watching some parts of this video. Other than these, i see that Zen is very very good against him too. Guess he's not that broken if there are so many effective counters like these. Pretty sure there are more too.

across all channels and forums, one and just one cry: Mauga is boring AF they didn't just break the game, they made it boring. it's atrocious for your team mates, uncounterable for your opponents and deadbrain for who's playing it. there are idle games that are more intriguing than running Malga only ppl like metro can have fun with it

i dont play ow2 often anymore and when i do play tank its so infuriating to go against mauga's... i dont play enough to unlock it + the only hero i can think of playing against one that would be semi effective is orisa so yeah

You really can’t unless you change his hitbox, make him more mobile, or give him a shield. His current design needs high damage or he’ll suffer like pre rework Hog
