Mashallah, thank you for this. I’ve been preaching to everyone to stop pushing people away from Islam. It is the biggest problem we have today. Don’t fall for tribal identity politics istagfirallah, band together and set the greatest example of a Muslim regardless of what other people say. They don’t know any better and acting poorly affirms their worst ideas. I have influenced so many conservative Americans to respect Islam mashallah it has helped our community so much you wouldn’t believe it. I want the same for you all, salam walaykum.

If us Muslim today only knew how the Islamic nations of the past lived in harmony and was very tolerant about traditions and cultures (as long as it didn’t cross the bounds of major sin). The ummah today is so harsh that they almost become munafiq themselves. Islam is actually a beautifully simple religion that flows with nature and our fitra. We already had the greatest example of what it is to show greatest of empathy and understanding - Mohammed sallelahu wale wasalam, he modelled how a Muslim should be in every situation. We have no excuse to be otherwise. We got to do better. And we will do better.

Sahih al-Bukhari 2311 Narrated Abu Huraira: "Whenever you go to bed, recite "Ayat-al-Kursi"-- 'Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-l-Haiy-ul Qaiyum' till you finish the whole verse. (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no satan will come near you till morning.

JazakAllah for this video. It’s heartbreaking to see that the Ummah is becoming so divided when you have many people who think of themselves as online Muftis who judge others and yet they are very ignorant of Islam, as well as Muslims who judge reverts and even other Muslims to the point of slander and calling each other kafir.

  • @jackbarnes5589

The first story about the revert hit me hard. Because I had the same thing happen to me as a revert. Being judged by Muslims at the Mosque I went to. But mine wasn't hair, what I wear, or what I did. It was because of my mental illnesses and having difficulties trying to understand Islam and questioning things that I guess Muslims aren't suppose to question. They never said it directly to me but I figured some were thinking "He is just to stupid to understand Islam now.". Autism and Schizophrenia are things that can be so damaging on a person's life and religious beliefs that even Allah sometimes has a hard time getting through to us. Doesn't matter now for me cause I did leave Islam last August. The very people I went to for help because I was having mental problems made the problems worse. I know when I am no longer welcome and accepted in a group. I guess people with mental illness are judged severely by the judgmental eyes of the Ummah. Most doesn't even know what Autism and Schizophrenia is or want to take the time to understand the person and their problems. I still believe in God, but I've had enough of people, I'd rather isolate and keep to myself.

I live in a Muslim country but people here confuse religion with culture. 3 years back, I started getting very close to Islam but suddenly a few things came up which started troubling me. Some cultural things, some judgemental people and my confused state pushed me away from Islam. I was too much worried and troubled by my judgmental class fellows. I have had ups and downs. Some people might even sometimes seem religious, but they can be wrong. Just because someone is having beard, wearing hijab, praying five times a day doesn’t make them a good Muslim. It’s all about your intentions. DO NOT LET OTHERS PUSH YOU AWAY FROM ALLAH. Do not lose your hereafter just because of these judgemental people. Study Islam yourself, be good, have good intentions, love and trust Allah. Only Allah can judge us. Only rely on reliable scholars and sources. Most of the information on social media can be distracting. May Allah give you mental peace and keep you on right path. Stay blessed.

I can relate to an extent, brother. as a revert, I struggle with the community. Just remember you are not the only one going threw tribulation, and there are good people out there wanting to help you. One person told me once. Islam is not the people, Islam is between you and Allah. Even If you are isolated Allah is near, if not closer. I wish you the best 🙏🏻

The worst thing is when you approach them, they put on this super muslim taqwa, avoid eye contact, and then you message them with good intentions and they start ignoring you or you find out some strange things later on. On the other hand I found so many wifeable (If that is correct term) girls amongst those who are very limited in knowledge of islam. Crazy.

The problem is many people don't study islam and are quick to judge others before assessing a situation or looking at themselves first. People are too harsh and quick to dish out rules and pass judgenment. I always the internet is the dajjal, there are many misinformation and anti Islam content on social media which push people further away from the deen. Community and love is what brings people together, judgement, hate, harshness, segregation and alienation is what makes the umma weak and pushes people away. May Allah guide us and keep us steadfast on the straight path. Ameen

I agree with the sheikh. However in my openion our majority in west are better Muslims than in Islamic world and that is why in west a lot of them are reverting to Islam. Not because they have read about Islam but because the see Muslims behaviour and then they approach Islam and revert . There are a lot of Muslims who have adapted western style of living . However there are a lot of Muslims who became better Muslims when they went to west because in England it is easy to follow Islam's basic principles I.e .they don't lie . They don't do adulteration . They serve humanity. They never consider others as inferior etc. Etc This just my openion while I was living in England.and that is why is say. If you want to see Islam go to west . You may not find Muslims there but you can find Islamic way of life

Some folks go out of their way to show how religious they are. They would joke, you would joke, and then suddenly in the middle of a joke they bring religion as if you "actually" seriously said it. Others would get obsessed with religious dress. Others would endlessly pick on stupid things like why you using knife & forks, why eating with left hand sometimes, why do this, why do that... they make your life hell because they want to go to heaven! Can't stand these brain-dead show offs. Observe and abide by the 5 pillars of Islam. Avoid fornication, alcohol, lying and riba and you are good to go inshAllah.

JazakAllah for speaking the truth brother. The worse part is that a lot of hypocrites too fabricate ahadith that have little to no contextual basis whatsoever and bring a lot of their cultural beliefs and call it “Islam”. Wallahi I have seen some hypocrites make up some of the stupidest and most ridiculous statements like “wearing medically prescribed glasses is haram”. Allah (swt) and his Messenger (peace be upon him) both told us that Islam isn’t that difficult, but sadly you have toxic people today who try to make it so hard for everybody.

This title is extremely discouraging. Do not ever describe the ummah like that. With all our flaws, the ummah is generally made up of regular decent people.

What do you mean brother/sister? The point of this video clearly isn’t meant to slander the Ummah, the point is to address the hypocrites among the Muslims. No Muslim is perfect or free of sin but let’s face it, there’s a lot of very ignorant people who only judge others on even the smallest thing and call other Muslims kuffar, and act like scholars when they actually have little to no real knowledge of Islam. I’m sure you’ll encounter these kinds of brothers/sisters on Muslim pages in social media.

DAILY DHIKR TO REMEMBER ALLAH (SWT) SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi, Subhan-Allahi 'l-`adheem (Glory be to Allah, and Praise, Glory be to Allah, the Supreme) Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two words are light on the tongue, weigh heavily in the balance, they are loved by the Most Merciful One." [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:67, Sahih Muslim, #4:2071] 2. Whoever says SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him) a hundred times during the day, his sins are wiped away, even if they are like the foam of the sea [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:168, Sahih Muslim; #4:2071] Abu Dharr reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Shall I tell you the words that Allah loves the most?" I said: "Yes, tell me, O Messenger of Allah." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The words dearest to Allah are: subhanAllah wa bihamdihi”. [ Muslim and at-Tirmidhi.] 3. La Hawla wa la Quwatta illa Billah (There is no Might or Power except with Allah) [the above is] a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.[Sahih al-Bukhari; al-Fath al-Bari #11:213, Sahih Muslim #4:2076] 4.SubhanAllah, walHamdulilah, wa La illaha ilAllahu, waAllahu Akbar (Glory be to Allah, All Praise is for Allah, There is No God but Allah, Allah is the Greatest) The above are mentioned as the four most beloved words to Allah. It does not matter with which one of them is begun.[Sahih Muslim; #3:1685] Abu Sa`id (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Perform the enduring goods deeds (al-baaqiyaat al-SaliHaat) more frequently." They asked, "What are these enduring good deeds?" The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) replied: Takbir [Allahu Akbar], Tahlil [la ilaha illallah], Tasbih [Subhan'Allah], alhamdulillah, and la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah. G
