The first thing I noticed before Angela said anything was that she took down the video she had of Rosie meeting the other child. She did this before the other family took his videos down. It really showed me how much respect she had for this child and the situation. I’ve been loosely following Angela’s family for a while but after I saw that I subscribed and followed her on Instagram. I love finding people with actual morals!

I didn’t even know there was a video of him with Rosie. I’m glad it’s gone too. Weird I’ve been watching This Gathered Nests old videos and the only thing I’ve been surprised by... is how much Angela used to look like her sister. I don’t think she does so much now. Which is weird because I don’t think Angies had plastic surgery she just got braces. It’s a mystery for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@kita3256 A different family blog channel had adopted a child from China. There was a video of Rosie ( also adopted from china) meeting this other family. This year the other family chose to abandon their adopted child. This caused outrage across the internet for many reasons. What this comment is referring to is that Angela took down the video of this other child and Rosie once the scandal was brought to light.

I remember this video and I’m glad Angela is showing the world how a mother is supposed to be. She’s handled this perfectly removing it. I’ve been waiting for Angela to discuss this because if anyone knows what to say about it and teach us about adoption it is her.

Every time I come across a video where “family channels” are criticized is always about the main stream channels where u can tell they do all these extreme and controversial stuff only to get views. I always mention your channel (This Gathered Nest) in these videos’ comments because I believe you’re truly the definition of a family channel. You know your boundaries, you’re SO respectful of your kids privacy, your videos are helpful and informative and you truly inspire people to be better and to be understanding. ❤️ Thank you for being true to yourself, your belief and morals!!!

Hey Angie! Can't believe I actually am first on commenting! I want you to know that you are being mentioned on SO many KZread channels as being held up as a genuine authentic family who encourage adoption and you tell it like it is. You are being compared to Myka Stauffer on many comments and the difference between the two of you. Night and Day.....Great job Angie. Keep doing what you're doing! Loved your book!!!

Thank you for being honest, without jumping into the mud of the latest KZread "scandal". I agree with your viewpoint of simply unsubscribing and moving on, because yes, it is like taking away the currency used here on KZread. Without viewership, these channels will either garner the attention of the KZread powers that be, or their channels will wither and die.

I just feel like (and let's face it, recent happenings prove this) that people are very easily fooled by (fake) nice people and apparently hundreds of thousands or even millions of people don't pick up on enormous red flags going on for *years* on these channels. Then when something clearly outrageous happens yes, there is a response but I feel like too many people either just do not want to see clear or they are too nice to assume anyone could have bad intentions. Just please read the signs! When you see something sketchy comment respectfully but firmly and unfollow. This is not much but we should all do it.

  • @lilMissAdoria

I'm not sure commenting helps, besides the fact that they will probably get deleted, don't comments come into play for the videos success? I though the more views, likes and comments a video got, the more it was pushed out to others. So if you comment aren't you helping to support them even if it's negative? (No criticism just my musings, what do you think?)

  • @annakoszegi5176

    @annakoszegi5176

    4 жыл бұрын

@@lilMissAdoria you are right, I basically meant that if you are already watching that content and then you notice something sketchy/not ok, the best you can do is to comment and unsubscribe (whether or not it gets deleted later is another story, sometimes they don't delete them or simply can't delete them all if masses comment, so worths a try) But of course if you already know that a certain channel is problematic, don't watch it just to comment, because that's just extra engagement for them.

So i am not sure how it came to be that she was telling me the reason why. She had asked herself how willing and ready she was to raise a child with any type of special needs. Cause if she had one, it was ALL in. She realised that she didn't have it in her, and chose a different path in life.

So good! I love what you say about family channels and couldn’t agree more. It’s a bummer for those who just want to share real life and can’t get seen because they’re buried under the challenges, click bait, and phony stuff😆 quality content can be hard to find, which makes me so thankful for channels like yours! It’s the same for all social media though. In fact I was just chatting with a friend and I said social media is just weird, some people could literally post their kid picking their nose and get thousands of likes meanwhile something heartfelt or something someone worked hard on isn’t seen. Social media/KZread is a beast. Lots of pros and cons. I feel like we just have to keep at the forefront of our thoughts our why - why are we there? For the most part I sincerely believe it’s not really about deserving what you do or don’t get (follows, likes, popularity, etc) - it’s just the way the world works. Some stories are headliners, but everyone has a story that is worthy and deserving of being heard.😊

I would love a what I eat in a day or what your whole family eats in a day. I think it would be very interesting to see what a big family eats in a day especially with such an age range ☺️

Family channels I love: Obvs This Gathered Nest, Phil & Alex, Ellen Fisher, Crazy Pieces. I also love Jenna Marbles, although she’s not a family channel her videos are fun, wholesome, creative, and 98% of the time are cuss word free.

Cringed when you said Phil and Alex (look into them, they remind me of the Stauffers) but the others are good, and Angie is the best.

Yes to the Intermittent Fasting video please! Been on it for a year and I would love to see other opinions and choices of food. And can you please do a 24h scheduled meal plan for you? Or even a week of what you eat?

Hi Angela I’m a 60 year old South African living in the UK. I’m fascinated with the American culture and stumbled upon your channel when looking at multiple births. I think that you are an intelligent mature interesting woman. I loved that you and your husband have such big hearts along with your big family. I too home schooled (both children now grown, married with families) I was hooked on your decluttering (did you every do your husbands cupboards? Did I miss it?) For me it’s wonderful looking into your home how you interact with husband and children (as I’m new I’ve missed a lot but catching up) Can I ask if you’ll be doing any more posts about your home and family dynamic? Continue to be blessed I pray for all the families I watch trusting Father God to protect prosper and bless you all Kathleen xxx

It’s so so good to hear you comment on the issues with family channels rn. I’ve watched your channel for so long and it’s never ever entered my head that anyone would possibly want to exploit their children BECAUSE of the brilliance of your channel and the way you respect your kids. So I’ve been shocked by things that have emerged from other channels recently. I’ve been interested to hear your outlook on this and whether it’s affected your feelings about vlogging recently. Both your answer and your blog post were super classy, eloquent, beautiful and I love you ❤️🌈 thank you so much for sharing this with us, you obviously owe it to no one and I know it must be a sensitive topic for you. I hope you see our curiosity as nothing but respect for your knowledge and opinion and a testament to the wisdom we see in you. You are a queen. 🙏

I loved what you said about family channels.... I decided to unsubscribe from several a while back as it occurred to me that I honestly wasn't learning anything from them.... I don't know if that's silly... but I don't want to spend me time watching something purely for entertainment. I want God to guide me towards channels because He knows I'll learn something great from that person/family. I can only strive to be that way with my channel also. xx PS. Just bought the audiobook... starting later tonight. Super keen !!

Yes to what your family eats in a day/week, and how your IF works into that. I have an almost adult daughter interested in IF. "Our clicks are our currency" oh my word, YES! I am trying to teach this to my teens. They keep trying to tell me they don't have a voice, but they do, they do!
