towards the origin: a month of yoga in Rishikesh, India | 200hrs TTC (subs en español)
Documentary short film that portrays the experience of taking a course of 200 hours of yoga (teacher training course TTC) during one month in Rishikesh, India.

A bit of context:
India starting appearing everywhere in my life, until the calling was too intense to not follow it.
My connection to this far away country was weaved inevitably through learning yoga, around three years ago. The inconsistent practice became more frequent but I needed discipline to see the progress of daily work.
I met an English woman while I was in Brazil who told me about her experience learning yoga in Rishikesh, and it seemed like an excellent idea as a rite of passage to this country so different from my own. I would be "protected" for the first month and would be immersing myself into the "real India" little by little.
The decision to enroll in the course at first was more for practical reasons than anything else, but there was a voice inside me that wanted to get into the world of yoga and spirituality. And of course, it was enough to step on Delhi to feel full, satisfied and embraced by the teachings and energies of India.
Clearly I have so much to learn, but certainly taking this course was a very good introduction to learn more about this millennial philosophy that more than physical exercises, is a way of seeing life.
One of the most important things I've learned in the last month is that the people around you play a very important role in your path. And here, in Rishikesh, the spiritual quest and self-knowledge is a theme in every conversation. And just like that, I have stayed calmly in this satsang on the banks of the river Ganges growing and connecting with my origins.

Hola , a que ciudad me aconsejas que vaya a realizar voluntariado o algún curso largo pero no tan costoso?
hola un gusto saludar. me ayudas con dos dudas 1 es necesario hablar inglés o igual el español no es obstáculo. me puedes contar un poco de eso. hay traductor o algo así. 2 con qué nivel se recomienda hacer el curso? espero me ayudes saludos soy Chileno

JOSE MANUEL ALVAREZ QUINTANA hola te cuento que cuando yo hice el curso en rishikesh lo hice en inglés para lo cual no necesitas mucho para entender las asanas pero te perderás filosofía, anatomía, ayurveda, meditación, etc. Te cuento que me he dedicado a traducir cursos en rishikesh en nada yoga school que dan el curso en español en los meses de agosto octubre y febrero por si te interesa. También soy chilena 😀

poor stuff. Not worth traveling to India just to learn these tradicional Yoga asanas you can learn at home with a good video. Besides these Yoga schools are charging an excessive amount of money, western prices, while India is cheap.

Los maestros hindues que he tenido eran los peores maestros. Primero se creen mucho, segundo son poco creativos, solo estàn pegados a lo recibieron de sus maestros. Conocì el disque Yoga de la India desde los años 70.Casi no habìa. Lo que hoy en dìa enseñan lo aprendieron de los occidentales. Ve no màs la pierna en la ventana . 'A poco es parte del Yoga tradicional? Son ejercicios del balet.
