Retrofitting an aftermarket tow hitch on my BMW x3 f25 , preparing for a long trip from Greenwood Indiana to Pensacola Florida, an 800miles road trip!

Nice job. But there will be very interesting to see how the car recognizes non oem part. For example if you put in reverse, PDC disables rear sensors.

I do have an 08 e70 4.8 n 525 E39 n I love fixing cars n I do my own repairs but limited. Indeed, I have found in GA shops with land at a good price, but currently, I insist on FL 😀

Hello! I don't know exactly, but at the dealership with original parts, I think it is something around 2 to 3 thousand
If you retrofit oem tow hitch, after addiing in FA is it necessary to code or flash EGS, DSC or other modules?

Can we use original bmw towbar with module and retrofit on the car or we cannot use

Yes, you can retrofit an original tow hitch. It is much easier on the electric part, but it will need some coding. Even in my case, I will code the navi to have the option for the rear view camera on the tow

I would think due to the age of the X3, he didn't want to spend a fortune installing the BMW tow hitch.
