For me it's the most sympathetic park alongside Tripsdrill if that makes any sense. Both parks might not be on the same scale as close by parks like Efteling or Europapark, but you can just tell that there's so much love put into every attraction. Behind every corner there's something new to admire and you just feel welcome here. No trash laying around, nice employees no matter which ride and overall just a pleasant experience without any complaints whatsoever.

btw the fields around the park are all available for expansion...120 hectares...europapark has 95...they will become one of the major players in Europe for sure that's why it's now my favorite park besides my home park....which is phantasialand lol

their future is looking bright!
For a business trip we were invited by the owners of the park, giving a quick look behind the scenes. They indeed really care! And i heard their plans of expansion. This gonna be bigger then Efteling one day. Mark my words!
The effort they’re putting into Avalon this year is amazing. I just love Toverland so much, one of Europes gems. This park truly has a bright future🙌
Give Toverland 10-15 years and it will be one of the best theme parks in the world🙌
'Dwervelwind' is actually a pun. 'Wervelwind' means whirlwind', so 'wervel' means 'whirl'. The inhabitants of the Magic Valley are dubbed by the park 'Dwervels' in Dutch. So Dwervelwind is a pun between the names of the inhabitans and whirlwind.
as an subscription holder of the park i think you did an amazing job at covering everything the park has to offer so good job on that!
i've been going to toverland regularly with my friends for the past 3 years at halloween. It's been a blast every time and the 13 hours the park is open never become boring. really a gem to have for my home province Limburg!

Nice to see a follow-up review from you. I remember the original Toverland review from you quite well, and you were already anticipating then the future changes to the park.

Hi! I work at toverland as an ride op. Thank you for the amazing review!
I've been to Toverland for the first time begin of April (2,5 hour drive from where I live in Belgium) and while it isn't very strong in intense coaster experiences, it was a very enjoyable day. Unfortunatly the day I went, Maximus Blitz Bahn was closed almost the entire day due to failures so I wasn't able to ride that. Not sure if it was because they were still busy with the works at Avalon, but I got a free "Return in the winter" ticket which I'll surely use and come back to see the changes.

Fenix and Troy are both very good. Maybe not elite but for Dutch standards they’re my 3rd and 4th in the Netherlands

I've been there since October of 2022 and it's beautiful. I really love the theming there.
In ten years this place will be legit.
Must go again this year to look at the updates. I do love this park and its only a 45 minutes drive for me.
One thing I missed in the review is that they've been doing some really nice Halloween events as well, they've been expanding and adding more scare zones and haunted houses every year. It's very fun and definitely worth a visit someday.,
I like this park better than Efteling: much lower wait times, better rolleroasters, they have a camp site in the summer, they did much better with covid rules. I love it!
I really loved visiting this park. I was just a big kid for a day and enjoyed it alot. It also looks great!
This was amazing and so helpful. Thank you!
I've visited Toverland last year in the autumn vacation. And Fenix is my favorite attraction at that beautiful theme park with Troy right behind it. I will also visit Hansa park in Germany next week so i can try karnan that gerstlauer hyper infinity coaster that opened in 2015.
Loved my visit to Toverland. Great theming in those new areas. They just need to fix Troy's roughness, but maybe already have.
I went there as a kid when it had just recently opened and was just one of the indoor areas, which was mostly like a playground. Last time I was there must've been around 2010. Crazy to see how much it has changed.
Toverland also has a GREAT halloween event that is for aalmost the whole family (i would say age 10+). They are investing a lot in that right now with their second permanent haunted house opening this year
I have been there twice before all the massive expansion areas. Once before troy and once after. Back then it was definitely half a day park but the bike coaster and the log flume were the highlights back then even.
Yes!! My homepark!
Also, best food I ever had in a theme park ! By far !
This reminds me of how Fun Spot Orlando when from a small entertainment center with go-karts and arcade games to a full fledged amusement park. This place basically did the same thing but on a much better level.
@verybighomer
Жыл бұрын
It is probably difficult to compare those because the approach is totally different. Fun Spot is more like a fairground style park with a focus on rides, Toverland is a theme park with a lot of nice buildings and characters.
i used to live about a 15 minute bicycle ride away from there but that was back when it was just what is now known as the land of toon.. we had something called "kindervakantiewerk" wich translates to children vacation work , they often took care of kids who'se parents had to work during school vacations and that was a standard place to go. i always loved it and i like seeing that it actually got this big, maybe one day i get to return there and just become that 8 year old kid again haha
Toverland is one of my favourite parks with Efteling, i have a family tradition where we go to "Winter efteling" And halloween toverland each year
This year for the first time a 2 day trip. Fenix and Troy were amazing. Fenix was super smooth and Troy gave me a headache after a couple of rides. The headchoppers though.
1:07 That guy on the 3rd to last row kinda looks like me 😜
I’m Dutch and I haven’t traveled much. The only major park I’ve been to outside of my country is Heide Park in Germany (will visit movie park Germany in 2 weeks). Fenix is my favorite Rollercoaster. It has the perfect combination of everything I want. It’s intense, well paced and reridable and my goodness is it a beautiful and well themed ride. I prefer it over the likes of Untamed (Walibi Holland) and Colossus - Kampf Der Giganten (Heide Park) because of it.
It'll be great for Efteling to have some competition. It'll keep them sharp. Certainly planning to have a look at Toverland. Looks better than anything I'd expect.
If you have a chance, you should visit during Halloween, they add some really great themed ghost houses and shows to the park that open after sundown. The Fenix is also great when it's dark.
I have a subscription since this year. last year I had a subscription to the Efteling, but I like Toverland much more. toverland still has so many expansion possibilities. If you are in the Netherlands and you visit the Efteling, you should also visit Toverland.
Toverland you is a very nog nice park k that hopely is growing each year.
I've been to this park over the years, starting from around what must've been 2008? It's been really awesome to see it growing ! I'm super impressed with how the park has been evolving, in particular these last few years. Given a few more years I think this park can become really quite the place to be, hopefully pressuring Efteling a little. (Competition is always good)
@dragnar12

The issue whit the efteling is the there limit of building in height. And only being allowed to build on 11% of the land they own ( the rest needs to be left to nature )
@crwndcontent
Жыл бұрын
@@dragnar12 It helps the park stand out, I really can appreciate all the trees and green whenever it gets hot during the summer, but it definitely limits them in other aspects for sure
I went to Toverland when they only had the boosterbike and the inside attractions. The beginning time of the park. I have seen grown the park and visit it multi times the last 20 years. I lived about 30 minutes driving from the park. Theming is great! I never thought that after Efteling there is enough space for another great attraction park nearby, because if there to many maybe there will go someday an attraction park will be closed for good.

Acktually, the beginning of the park was when there was only “Het land van Toos”. Boosterbike and the second building came way after.
I really really like toverland 🩵
Anyone else think a Mack Hyper (in the style of Flash or DC Rivals) or Mega (in the style of Alpina Blitz or Storm) would be PERFECT at this park?

An intamin blitz like a mix of velocicoaster/taron would be better tbh. (They’re also considering for a Mack launch or intamin blitz in 2026)
TOVERLAND GOATED
It's so cool how many kids thing there are here but anyone can do them.
Toverland maybe can in the future be a big park but Efteling always its gonna be special to me
I'd like to check out Toverland, but it's far enough away and disconnected enough from public transport that I need a hotel, so I might as well go to a bigger park abroad.
The Trojan Horse(big wooden horse) was used by the Greeks to get inside the City of Troy in Greek mythology.
it are 2 buildings land van Toos was built first, later a 2nd building was built the building from wunderwald
Nice review but there where some mistakes the 2 indoors halls are not 1 building they be been build in different times, the wands work only in Port Laguna and booster bike is part of wunderwald and not magische Vallei
Please can you do top 25 roller coasters in may
Damn I went here as a kid I think it was mostly indoor and one coaster outside
0:40 bro really missed that bottle flip💀💀💀
its amazing, went last saturday funnily enough, low waits. but 1 warning: Dont go during Halloween!!! the waits are disney like and its slammed, even though its open for 13 hours compared to the normal 8, I got 10X more coasters then during halloween. construction is well underway for the new section, sadly it meant the section looked awfull but hopefully its worth it.

Nope. Never heard of them lol
Toverland was one of my favorite parks but they have a dark side and I don't think I'll ever return. The way they treat people with disabilities is disgusting. Firstly, they leave out important information about their attractions. I did a haunt attraction thinking that it would be manageable, since they never said anything about it being far outside the park and in the middle of nowhere. (If I would've known, I wouldn't have gone). Their negligence caused a me to have a panic attack and put me in real danger. I reached out to an employee for help, and he downright refused to accommodate me in any way, laughed at me, and dismissed my medical emergency as me faking it. (And this was after showing him OFFICIAL PROOF that I have a known disability, by the way) I had no choice but to continue the tour, or be left alone in the woods at night. If this was in America, I would sue them for negligence. But it doesn't end there. Please read part 2. This deserves to be seen.

Part 2: After that ordeal, I wanted to ride Troy to cheer up. I had a pass indicating of a non-physical disability (so they know these do exist), and they didn't let me on the ride. They put that entrance in the way of everyone exiting so that I could be stared at by everyone and forced to stand in a tight space. Then, they were more concerned with putting on a show than helping their guests. They blocked my way in order to move some things, and told us to get out of the way when they were literally trapping us. (This didn't just happen to me, it happened to everyone using the disability entrance.) We were all upset, and told another employee what happened. The employee just ignored us and told us to go back to guest services (which was closed, and outside the park). I left the park traumatized, ashamed, and terrified. They never offered to pay for my mental health treatment afterwards. They never offered a refund for all the other haunt zones I paid for in advance. And yes, my parents helped write a letter to the park afterwards.
@theatypicalcoasternerd8142
Жыл бұрын
Their response? They said I was in the wrong for going to a haunted attraction if I had anxiety. Even if they claimed they would train their employees to prevent future incidents like this, I don't care. All they offered in compensation was a voucher, yes, a voucher, for another visit. Shame on you Toverland. If you treat people with disabilities like less than human, why even have any services at all?
