I created Tournemains around 1997 as an exercise during my circus studies. I wanted a club that could stand easily, so I wouldn't have to pick it up from the floor, and a club that would be asymmetric, so audience could see more of the object's movements. After a few drawings I ended up just twisting an electrical isolation plastic tube with a heatgun and covering it with isolation tape. Creating the act was a mixture of applying club techniques and just observing what the props would let me do.
I performed this act here and there between 1999 and 2017.
