Just KW V1 for the suspension, but the other things of the car are stock. I just remove the rear seat. So for now there Is just the suspension.

Le châssis d'origine sauf des amortisseurs KW V1, bien moins dure que des KW V3. Sinon tout d'origine.

Very good driving at the Ford's and your personal limit in the green hell but I think that my Mk1 2.0 Zetec Trend with only 131 hp is on par in straight forward acceleration what wonders me (~7.5 secs in mine till speedo reaches 100 km/h in 2nd gear). It's stock I have only replaced the air filter with a free flowing Simota one. But in the corners you are much faster.

I went 2002 2.0 ESP, to a 2004 ST170 and now own a 2003 RS. I’d say 1st gear acceleration in the 2.0 is faster than an ST170, purely due to the long ratio and DMF, but beyond that, they are miles apart in performance

Can I ask if the traction is switched off?mine comes in way earlier if its turned on

What’s been done to it handling wise ?

I have a regular 101hp 1.6 Focus MK1, I know it's not much of a powerhouse but I'd love to drive it ot the limit one day. Obviously not doing that on public roads, I am not that irresponsible. But the handling of that car is far better than any other car I've driven, and I got to drive 15 year younger cars from more "premium" brands that drive like absolute hogs.

Im in love with focus. Most reasonable car with such a good driving abilities. Your ride was amazing to watch. Am I wrong, or Your tires got noticeably worse traction after couple of minutes?

This is true… the eagle F1 are nice on the road but not for the track. And infortunatly there aren’t LSD on the st, and this don’t help to have the traction necessary… I hope installe one this year 🙂

Excellent driving...just suspension upgrade.?.goes to show how good the mk1 focus is...

One other thing - I bet you can’t find a rebuild kit, remanufactured or suitable transmission to swap when that one breaks - Getrag MT-285!

I think you say that beacause I loose the gear speed several times, but I change the oil and since that I never loose the gear speed 😊

Yes this is true 😅 The gear switch knob is a Quaife.

Why you didnt shift in 5th and 6th gear on the straight?

This car doesnt have 6th gear. I have the same car 1.6 stock but st tunned version only for weekend and fun

My car is an ST so there is a 6h gear. And to answer to Jonny, when I need a past the 5th and 6th gear, like the other gear, but if I don’t need I didn’t

at the end of this video you put the gearbox in Neutral and still rolling with over 100km/h. That's a big NO to do in any car!
