Lucy yes, I havent had one, but you just have to look for images, how his retics are caged, the way he started with leopard geckos, when he said that "retics dont fully stretch in the wild", the way he handles hots, how dirty his istallations are, sooooo many people complaining about underweight and mite infested snakes , the alligator in a pool, monitors in racks.... and the list goes on. I dont say he was once great, but he is no longer a person to look up to, he just cares about the money and fame. I dont hate people for no reason, I love animals, and I hate watching them in those conditions...

I'm incredibly jealous that you had the opportunity to visit him but also incredibly happy to see you two collab! I clicked so fast lol
I love you and I love Brian! this is great!
I've watched Brian for years. He knows better than anyone on how to care for his reptiles. I've contacted him many times on questions and other things and he's always been very very helpful and kind. Sure, he needs money to support his business and that's why he sells many snakes. If you look at his animals, they are in great condition and have good temperaments. He also has an entire crew that cleans his reptiles and helps them live in good conditions :)
So glad you got to meet Brian!!! His reptile show is the only one I watch.
I know it's completely unrelated to this video but you've really inspired me to get a bird. I've been into them for awhile but you gave me the final push haha. I love your videos, and your channel inspires me to make more content even in the crowded schedule i have.

Lauren Vasko something ive done to convince my parents to let me get a lot of my pets is (if you have the access) type up a "booklet" type thing about all the care and information about the animal you want. You should always do A LOT of research. I spent months researching ball pythons before i got my first ball python. Make sure the first pet you get isn't something crazy like a horse, Burmese python, etc. that will cost lots of money. In the booklet, write about all the information you know; feeding, enclosure, morphs, prices (be honest!😂), etc. Once you are ready to give the booklet to your parents, you should be ready to be able to thoroughly answer any further questions they have. If they say no the first time, maybe give them a couple reasons why you think that animal would make a good and easy pet, and that you will take responsibility for it. If they still say no, wait another few days to a week and ask again. Keep repeating this but DO NOT do it to the point where they get angry about it. I've done this to get my vanilla ball python, super fire pastel ball python, tree frog, and red crayfish. Hope this helps!

Lauren Vasko I also did something with a booklet and instead made a binder. I would recommend writing a letter too and maybe adding like a little contract basically saying you promise to take care of this pet. Hope this helps and good luck!

Are you serious?!? Your telling me I lived in Michigan for my whole entire life up until 2 years ago, and they’ve been there the whole time 😐 this is some bs. 😭
Tyler you look like a kid on Christmas with Brian handing you all kinds of species!! This is great!!
Why so much hate? Brian takes care of his animals better than what i have seen other do. Yes some of them are in smaller containers, but most of them are young or smaller snakes, he has bigger containers/cases for medium and larger snakes. A lot of breeders do this but brian actually takes better care of them.
I understand a lot of people are saying that they lose respect for this, but when did Tyler said he supported it? Isn't it obvious that other than being excited he's really on edge at all of this? He is socially awkward, we all know, but he was really unsettled when they even mentioned the Frozen Rabbits. Now, snakes actually like being closed in, but I also know that some really prefer bigger spaces. I'm not supporting him, but I'm saying he's doing the best he can. Yes- he's definitely bitten off more than he can chew with all of this breeding. It really is shameful, but also really special. I, at least, really enjoyed seeing all of these snakes and other reptiles

Andrea Echeverría most snakes enjoy smaller enclosures. And most snakes preferred to be left alone, unless they're one of the rare ones that like to come out and socialize. He also keeps over 30,000 reptiles, which is difficult to maintain in tanks, which is fine for majority, if not all of the collection. I've seen snakes do better in tubs. I've rescued snakes kept in tanks, and they're always in horrible condition. And they dont stay in those tubs at his facility forever. If you follow his blog, he's building massive enclosures for his big snakes, and RJ has his own pond (shared with a turtle. Dont remember what kind).
@abigailjarvis4793
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, reticulated pythons especially should be in larger housing so they can stretch. A lot of his snakes don't have hides. Not every snake he has is a borrowing snake, but he has similar set ups for almost all of them. He has snakes that need mental stimulation in environments that do not provide that.
Love this !!
I watch Brian too and Tyler looked like he was thinkin what I always say watching him "omg he talks so much just show the snakes !"😫😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was just watching his new video😂😂
Ok, but these snakes don't have any enrichment at all in their enclosures. It's totally barren. You can't tell me not even having a hide or a few plants to coil around is preferable to having some kind of simulation. Just because they live in burrows during the day doesn't mean they don't change burrows, don't explore outside of them at all, don't want any visual or tactile stimulation whatsoever. They aren't pet rocks.
@bisexualfrenchfry1953
3 жыл бұрын
I just made a comment about that also. And there’s no excuse, snake discovery breeds tons of snakes and always gives the babies enrichments , hides, everything. Brian has them in racks with a water dish, no substrate , no hides, no enrichments. Nothing. Just water. 🥴
That's so cool!! You lucky duck. I got notifications for both channels, and the thumbnail for Brian's video looked kinda familiar lol :)
so much love for this video!!!
you should do a video with Taylor Nicole Dean
brian sent me
Love this, and to make it better it's on my birthday!!
That so cool I never expected Brian with Tyler
You can tell how much he loves his job, it just still saddens me on how they're stored yknow? I could never hate on Brian since I bought my baby corn snake from bhb reptiles. But it's just still sad how they're kept in tiny little tubs with a water bowl that's not big enough for them to soak in. I understand it though. They have so many reptiles and they can't keep them all in 30 gallon tanks, still upsets me a tad haha no hate here. I love Brian and Tyler ❤️
@tashacordoba9131

Ashelynn Holland most snakes don't need 30 gallons worth of space and thrive in tub systems. The tubs should be bigger but these are temp breeding tubs

Tasha Cordoba the tubs aren't the problem. he doesn't put hides in for them. the water bowl is usually too small for them to soak in. brian has killed hundreds of animals because of his poor care.

Well they are not his permanent pets, he sells them so he’s not gonna but 10 dollar tanks for nothing
Please do your research on snakes before you say that how Brian is housing his snakes is wrong. Brian has some of the healthiest and finest snakes I have ever seen. He knows what he is doing. Snakes are very simple animals and in order for them to feel safe enough to do things like eating or shedding they like to be in smaller more contained spaces. Big elaborate cages can sometimes be too much stress for snakes.
@eska8682
5 жыл бұрын
But I see no places for the snakes to hide in, how can they feel secure without a hide were to go (or humidity boxes when the snakes have to shed)? Just asking, it seems wierd... PS= I think snakes have to live in cages with some decorations to give them the opportunity to do something else that staring at the walls of their enclosure for hours and hours... like Brian's ones do I assume (7:54 I mean... the emptiness ) Btw sorry for my bad English :P

@mysticmistress6101

What can they rub on to help them shed? Are there hides in both the warm and cool side of the enclosure?(if not often snakes will nose rub because of stress, an issue that a couple of Brian’s snakes actually have) also humidity boxes are good for snakes in shed especially if there’s nothing else to rub against. And the containers he keeps his bigger snakes in are WAYYY too small.

OH MY GERSH dude ur so lucky
I definitely love Brian and his work but I dont approve of some of the things he does because he has bitten off more than he can chew. Tyler is not a hypocrite for visiting Brian, because at least Brian knows the care requirements for each snake and is passionate about what he does. Tyler was simply there to see the animals and collab with another KZreadr (which is what the majority wanted to see him do). I'm not saying go home and put your snake in a tub and call it good, but I mean you can tell Tyler is awkward and even uncomfortable at times. Now I am not supporting of some of the things Brian does (his retics in tiny racks, leopard geckos stressed 100% of the time in breeding groups, his skink care and enclosures, what used to be RJs (alligator) "pond", and the amazon tree boa care), but he definitely does care about what he does. The least you could do is support TYLER on what Brian does do right in the video. I mean come on guys. Really?

I’m disappointed in Tyler, he does some really great work for the community talking about what is and isn’t okay as far as pet care. Doing a collab with Brian supports Brian’s channel and sends a message that Brian’s husbandry is up to par in a way that it just isn’t. Tyler is an influencer and his collaboration with Brian is akin to a brand deal or being sponsored by a big company. If Tyler wouldn’t take a sponsorship deal with Petco, he shouldn’t be doing a collaboration with Brian
