I just moved to Savannah and I’m really loving it ... the food is really great here too

My wife and I went to Savannah Georgia in 2019. We were there for 5 days and stood at a hotel 2 blocks from River street. It’s such a historical beautiful city. Felt like our stay was way too short and definitely want to go back there soon.

I got real excited when I saw the title of your video. I'm from Savannah Georgia and have fond memories River Street. It hurt my heart to see how much they changed it. When I livedin Savannah you could not drive on River Street. It was all mom and pop stores and restaurants. We used to have local bands that would play on River Street on the weekends. We even had small shrimp boats that will come up and Dock. I remember buying a lot of shrimp from those boats It wasn't commercialized at all. No souvenir shops no big fancy hotels. I know time changes everything. But sometimes it can take the simple Joys away

I know the feeling. While this was our first visit to Savannah, we have traveled back to places we are from and been disappointed that things have changed so much. Makes us wish we had a lot more pictures and videos of how we remember things. It sounds like River Street used to be wonderful - though as first time visitors we certainly enjoyed it for what it is as well. It was a lot of fun. We will have to go back though because while it took most of a day to tour everything on River Street, there is a lot more to the town in addition to this street. Thanks so much for watching our video, Jenn!

There were a ton of really good restaurant options all over Savannah. We saw some restaurants with huge lines out the door. Seems like a great destination for foodies. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I've always wanted to go to Savannah. It's always looked so beautiful. I love the architecture, old south look and water views. I enjoy the fun of tourist trap towns with all of the shops. The memorial is a great way to honor our fallen soldiers. Seafood... mmmm! I love your videos. You visit so many fun places.

Thanks for this tour. I lived in south GA for a decade but only made it to the outskirts of Savannah when I traveled there to show my dogs. It was nice to see some of what I missed in the city proper. Man those carmel apples looked GOOD 😋 and your meal looked amazing! I really need to take Xander out for shrimp one of these days. 🤔 👍

Georgia is a beautiful state! And River Street is a gem. The old cobblestone streets and the riverboats going by were beautiful. And the food really was delicious. I am sure Xander would love some shrimp. He deserves the treat! Thanks so much for watching our video!

I live just outside of Savannah, one of my favorite candy stores is Riverstreet Sweets! It's overall the best on on the block!

We really wished we had more time to stay in Savannah, GA. We kind of tacked it on to a Hilton Head Island vacation since it wasn't far away. But we would love to go back. Indeed. We were only there a few hours in the morning and early afternoon so we didn’t make it to any bars. But we did pass numerous bars that seemed to have a very cool vibe! Thanks for watching and commenting!

whilecin the army ft stewart i spent my weekends on river st they usto close the st so a train could come down the middle once a day i'd go to a small cobblestone bar with a one man band i'd park on a lot on a hill & hope my parking brake held

This is a place meant for walking, not driving, when time permits.

Sherman marched thru there. Didnt burn it but took the cotton(by choice) and freed some slaves(not by choice).Old historical city.

He didn't burn it because he was given it by the mayor of Savannah, he had heard that Sherman had burned every city he went through and so he promised to surrender the city with no opposition as long as Sherman didn't burn it down, and he agreed.
