Rhett... trust me on this... start practicing your singing privately every chance you get... in the shower, singing along with the radio, in-a-low-voice along with your band, sing along with your guitar (like George Benson), etc... every single chance you get. Then learn and practice doing harmonies. - I was always just-the-guitar-player too and thought I couldn't sing. I also played pretty complicated guitar work, and thought it wasn't possible to play that and sing simultaneously... Then after doing all the above recommendations and getting my pitch nailed I realized I actually had a great voice (I bet you do too) and it turned out singing and playing at the same time wasn't hard at all. - Rhett, if you sang well, along with your already great guitar playing, you'd be unstoppable. -- Great look, great guitar playing, and great singing... talk about a triple threat! - Just sayin' bro... I think you're more than a sideman.

Rhett, the raw, transparent honesty of your channel and content are amazing man! So many people get to live vicariously through your career and experience the life of a pro, but more than that you bring your own personal honesty that’s so much more impressive! Keep doing your thing and much love for the future!
Dude, I seriously love your content. It inspires me to get out there. I hope all those shows you played went well bro!
Your realness will garner more and more loyal fans! Thank you for helping new musicians out. I'm 22, just graduated from music school and I find these videos very informative. Hope you keep it up man!
Been watching your channel for several months now, Rhett. The variety and originality of content, production values, entertainment, useful info and sheer honesty contained within makes it one of the best muso channels out there. Much appreciated, pal. Keep it up!
Most musicians make their money through “their day job”
The quality of your videos are incredible now. These are not far from HBO specials. The drone in the arena was over the top!
Man I really loved this video. So transparent and refreshing to see how reflective you are. Very inspirational. And great playing too. Keep these coming please, if able. I think you might have more fans than you realize.
Your drummer is great. I'm a professional jazz musician and I was really impressed with him especially.
This is not a dry explanation. It contains lots of back stage and back ground insights and hang time. I liked it
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite KZread channels. Really appreciate the effort and quality you are putting out.
I totally agree with taking a few minutes before a show, just to be by myself in a quiet space, just to center myself. Great series, Rhett! I enjoy all your videos. You always have great tones and guitar parts!

I am so glad you started doing this series of videos. I didn't realize how well you played before and I also find them very positive. Both of which are cool.
Rhett, these videos are put together so well. Kudos on all the behind the scenes editing!
You provide so much helpful information here, and it is really interesting. I liked your comments on the time you carve out to "center yourself" before performing, and to take a little alone time during touring a tour like this. You are inspiring.
Rhett, Rick Beato and you are helping us out with your advice and experience. Thanks man!
Really cool video Rhett, thanks for taking us along with you! Awesome to see what it's like behind the scenes. Keep doing it brother, cheers!
I so enjoyed following you and the band! Very enlightening. Life on the road isn't all fun, can be stressful and tiring as you said.
Damn, you guys sound great! I’m loving the songs I’m hearing. I also liked the glance at the nonexistent watch on your wrist in this video. Good work you’re doing on your channel. I’m binging all your stuff now.

Hey Rhett great video, this channel is top notch. I respect all you have shared about real musician's life. Cool sounds out of the Helix, no patch cord nightmares on tour
Thank you for your videos! Had to push pause during the intro to this one to say that those drums sound so good! That kick!
What a great video showing the *real* work involved in being a musician. Great job! You and the band sound great btw 🎸🤓
You guys are brave to live this life. My shout-out and best wishes to your band!!
Hey Rhett I've been watching numerous videos and this one is in my hometown and now it's definitely made up my mind to find my first guitar! I love the videos and the information you put in them. Wish me luck 🤘🏻
This started as a perfect found footage ghost movie, including staying in the haunted hotel room. From that point, weird things could've started happening while on tour. Backstage mishaps and stuff like that. It could seriously be a movie. I would watch it.
The production value you put into these touring videos is amazing.
Hey Rhett! After watching this video there's no way I could move on to another without mentioning how completely blown away I am by the SOLID musicianship and killer songwriting on display here! The complaint generally isn't that those tones are "bad." It's that they are the past. Ola Englund calls Gibson and Fender guitars "Old Man Guitars." Rhett sounds great, they all sound great, but they don't sound new.

@@dpb22 I have to agree with a portion of that opinion when it comes to Gibson gtrs, can't stand em in every way, Fenders just never get old so Ola can eff off on that one...I get that there's countless gtr companies/luthiers out there and its my opinion that unless a guitarist is designing/building/commissioning something truly one-of-a-kind and custom just for themselves, pretty much everything has been done innovation-wise in the gtr market. so pretty much everything is an 'old man guitar' unless its custom...idk I'm pretty high man.
Hey Rhett thanks for making the video! As always, great content!

There are plenty of good guitar related channels, but what I do really like about yours, Rhett, is not only the really high quality content, but even more importantly the fact that you clearly are a genuinely nice person. If I decide to spend some time watching stuff on YT, that time is going to be dedicated to people I'd happily have a beer with, and you are definitely in that group!
I was suprised by your filmmaking in this video, really smooth transitions! Well done!

Boy o boy, you and the band sound absolutely top shelf. Your playing is superb, your tones kick, kudos.

Rhett your tone is f****** amazing. I am not much for country music. I have played and recorded with country bands but I would jump at the chance to play bass with yall just because of your drummer. He has got a great groove!!!!!! Plus you guys do AB Whipping Post that is super cool. Love the channel Brother...........You keep it REAL

the hard part is rationing out the elbow of stank stashed under the spare wheel in the van when you're on the road. you don't want it running out half way through the tour. not the kind of thing you can just put in the rider.
Great video! Kudos to all you do! Just started watching your videos. I was looking at the Strymon Big Sky video you did and just started watching your other videos. Well done!
I've seen a couple of these videos,I like em Alot. Makes me feel like I'm right there,on stage and trying out guitars ,amps, and gear. I play Bass myself and have been fortunate enough to play with some Truly Awsome musicians over the years.Keep on Playing and inspiring others.
2:48. It warms my heart to see a guitar with all its scuffs and chips (At least I think that's what they are). That thing sounds beautiful too!
I love these vlogs. I cannot get enough of them. I am a gigging musician based out of Maryland. I also own a Helix, but I never played it live. It's an amazing tool, but my danm feet are just to big and clumsy for working it in a live situation, I need a board with more space between the buttons, but if I had to for quick setup, I'd prob have to limit my pedal switching. Another awesome video.
Rhett, I've listened to the helix a lot and I think it usually sounds great. But you are the only one I've heard make it really sound "real". Dig it man.
I really like what you guys are doing. Noah's vocals sound great. I am not much of a fan of the new style country but the songs and delivery by Noah (and the band) sounds great! Big props for this Rhett.
Your content is so inspiring! Thanks for taking the time and give us an insight into your work, hope you score bigger and bigger; both your music and human quality are outstanding. Thanks Rhett!

I do the same thing. Playing with the worship team, and occasionally doing a solo. Otherwise, I'll be playing for large venues with the local Mission on holidays. Churches and the Missions are not paid gigs. I do them because I love playing and really enjoy playing for God and the people. Finally I also enjoy playing at Senior centers, coffee shops, rest homes.etc. Most of this last group I play for will be paid venues on a case by case basis.
Great video, you have a wonderful attitude and deserve all of the success that is sure to come to you.

Your tone with the Helix is so good! I've been doing the hired gun thing with a band similar to what you're doing with Noah. And you are 100% right, those 15 minutes alone are something that can keep your sanity on the road. Thanks for your videos, Rhett!
Thanks for the shots of Morgantown! Went to music school there in the 80s!
