Tourer Build: Toyota Hilux ARB equipment fit-out

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The first of the equipment fitted to the Toyota SR5 Hilux. The equipment fit-out was undertaken by ARB and consisted of ARB bar work, Rhino-Rack roof rack and Safari Snorkel.
In this video I discuss why we chose ARB equipment and the reason we chose a tub canopy over a custom made full canopy.

I am in Europe, just got a Hilux as well and started the build. IN EU we have only the 2.4 D engine, so your 2.8 will do fine. I went for an aluminium canopy made by a South African company, who can take a lot of weight and abuse, since I plan to install an RTT on it . Good luck with the build. I like that you explain why you made your choices .

Thanks for the feedback. Aluminium would be a good option, there are so many options around from cheap and cheerful to custom made.

You’ve got the dream setup mate! Purchased a brand new Triton just last month and had its first add on installed which is a Safari snorkel. Had the sales man from ARB did a base quote just on everything I’d like to be fitted on the car and it came up to $16000 plus. I still reckon ARB is the way to go just because its quality is second to none. Good vid mate!

It was about 4k, that’s the top of the range with integrated central locking and gull wing side windows, including the internal supports, fitted. They have a reasonable range with different options / prices.

Facebook marketplace is where I sell all my unwanted gear. Was able to sell the OME side steps and rear bar when I got the ARB replacements.
