No 5 (Number 5) Cemetery in Spanish Town, Saint Catherine is an old burial place filled with human history. I toured this cemetery to dig into the lives and causes of death of the dead.

    The state of this cemetery is upsetting. Can imagine your loved ones in a cemetery like this? I know they can’t feel , for obvious reasons but lord, the state is so bad.

    The people that is living at Tawea pen train lines ,plus those in front of willington streets,they to be blamed for their NASTY behavior of dumping garbages over there, Government needs to put a stop to it, like Miss baby grange the (member of Paliament for that area, she serves over there n going very often there, it's a dirty dirty deplorable situation that cemetery is in, no saa ,de duppy dem caa stay quiet in dem house because a garbage.dem need Fe do better.

    Yes my brother ,welcome to Spanish Town, yes ur on Wellington Street, Soo the Cemetery front view is on the Street,plus it's also at the Corner of Manchester Street and Prince Avenue, most people called it Prince lane, I was living near by, I also usually walk through there night or day, so many graves r there needs to be fixed ,but family's n government ain't helping to clean it up.

    The Cemetery closed in 2018 because there was no more space. In 2021, Telka Holt, commercial services manager of the St Catherine Municipal Corporation, said that plans are in train for the No. 5 Cemetery to be cleaned. Now it's 2024 & it is still not clean.

    The family's of those deceased should see wats happening n go to look plus clean dem up, imagine the dirtiness to foreigners who came here to visits our country, many of us should be ashamed to really interduces visitors to these places. THE GOVERNMENT MUST BE THE ONES TO CLEAN ALL CEMETERY'S IN THIS COUNTRYSIDE 😊😅

    Yessssssss I pass it all the time but always scared to look over there. It's super messy. There was also another cemetry almost across from it named number 6 but they removed the headstones etc.

    Remember fowls always will find worm's under the rubbishes to eats, ,, wen I used to walk through that place I was afraid to step in the middle sections of the graves I kno they r old n brittle then Soo easy to fall apart, lots of people usually fall down in them , some skeletons gone to power.

    I usually attended ALOT of those funeral sites back in the days over there,, non of those people from governments institutions couldn't get basements Caskets, their boxes was Coffin's Shaped, yes n police n other governments plus parish Councils teams would be present. So u wouldn't find proper graves with blocks n cement n steels ,to build those. U call those graves mold up graves nuff dirt's.😢😊😮
