    I was raised in a working class household. Lots of free and refurbished stuff. The lack of money is no excuse for living in a dirty home packed with trash. It was never this sloppy.

    Hey homie I haven’t seen you in a while, but I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate and admire you. We’ve known each other for 20 years now, and I’ve seen you go through a lot. It’s truly inspiring to see how you’ve turned your life around and built such a successful career in carpentry. Your hard work and dedication are impressive, and it’s clear that you’re doing great for yourself. The people in the comments are haters, and I really know you, I know that the apartment is on your name and you’re probably paying it too. You’re so humble that you take the truck so your mom can be comfortable in her own space. Beyond your professional achievements, I’m deeply moved by your humility, kindness, and the way you care for your mother. It takes a special kind of person to be so selfless and dedicated. Your strength and compassion are qualities that I deeply respect. Thank you for being such a wonderful person and for always being there for those who need you. I’m so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and the person you’ve become, I don’t live in the peninsula anymore, but if I’m ever around let’s get some food and remember the good ol highschool shenanigans we got into. Much love bro, take care homie, you’re doing awesome, keep yo head up.

    @@kriminalraindrop that was a great comment! I don't know if I even have the capacity to think of so many wonderful things to say about anyone. You are a great person for even being able to think of such a great and wonderful comment! I'll try to message you on social media soon.

    Nice place. You need to throw some stuff away that you don't really need, don't used or love anymore. I donate 70% of my stuff to goodwill and give it away. I started to live a simple minimalist lifestyle, and I'm much happier with less stuff.

    This is very typical of a 1BR apartment in Southern California. This would not be a cheap apartment. I live in something similar to this.

    Good that you’ve found some good items to be of use ….. family members of mine used to find and get items in this manner….. I used to go to Purple Heart second hand shop and bought furniture from the Salvation Army but as I’ve gotten older I’m of the mindset that I don’t want to bring someone else’s bad energy into my house ( just my personal opinion ) and that may be because I have more than enough stuff and don’t want to over clutter or turn into a HOARDING like people on those Hoarding shows

    Where are you in California, and what does an apartment like that rent for? Near me in Houston you can buy a nice 2-2 condo for about $130k, or rent one for $1,200-$1,500/month.

    I'm the Queen of free and cheap! When you don't have a lot of floor space, use the walls. Plenty of room for a hutch or shelving on top of the dresser in the kitchen. Then trade the grill (Weber grills are expensive) for a futon that you can put in the living room instead of the sofa. Bed at night, sofa by day. Or find a chair that folds out into a single bed. Amazon has them, but I've also seen them in resale shops. The key is dual-purpose furniture. Sleeping in the truck is hard to do in weather extremes; you really need to be indoors.

  • @jennerb7059

    @jennerb7059

    Ай бұрын

    @kathyhayward5730 yes indoors is always better but in my situation I sleep way better in my truck because I have figured out all the tricks to do it comfortably. Until I find a girlfriend to split rent with, that's where I'm at.

    Learn how to clean up.... Nasty as hell in there. You should also clean and sanitize the stuff you found next to the dumpster too. Might as well ditch the vacuum because you definitely don't use it. I think you need a new job, "working man".... I'm a working man in Cali (Ventura) also, and I don't live like that at all. Go educate yourself to get and better skilled trade so you can live a healthier lifestyle and take care of your mom more acceptable. The place is in terrible condition for her to live like that. Do better! No excuses....
