That's a general problem with how they layout these double height living rooms. Thankfully, builders are moving away from those linear fireplaces to a more classical style. But now the fireplace is the focal point of the room so you want the tv to be part of that focus and now you end up with the tv too high. That's why in a lot of houses like this, they treat that space as a formal living room, and put the tv in a family room or a media room like they have on the 2nd floor.

Lots of people watch to like this that’s why it’s important how you have your furniture lots of builders and contractors still make the homes this way .

You guys, this was a normal very enjoyable Coleman Johns tour! So this wasn't my favorite house I've seen on your channel (that's still that amazing grouping of homes on one road) but there were some lovely things in this house. The elevator and the whole basement for that matter, were a welcome surprise. Good for them for going with that bold wallpaper in the primary closet! Although I'm still trying to figure out what to put on those tiny corner shelves in the closet) It was great that they had a laundry attached to the primary as well as one upstairs. The closets in the secondary bedrooms were outstanding. And the prep kitchen/pantry was a great addition and kept the kitchen from being too small. But some oddities too: the elevator coming out in the garage on the basement level is great for unloading groceries, a little less so for going down to the basement. I generally don't like double height ceilings in the living room so same here. But overall a very nice house and a great tour!

I stop counting the doors after the 11th door. This home could be used to care for foster children/teens. It's nice, but busy.

The house is nice, nevertheless I don’t like the location of the fireplace, actually is blocking the view in addition to the lot is ok but not great, the tv location is awful, you can’t see tv like that.

Nashville architects, please slow down on the multi gabled homes. Not every home must resemble a modern farmhouse, let use see an American Foursquare, a Craftsman type bungalow, an Arts and Craft Tudor, there are plenty to see in Belle Meade. The interior barn door has rapidly fallen out-of-favor. Please bring in California Closets as the generic Home Depot closets do not belong in a multimillion dollar home. Every bath should have a hand held wand, every one. The installed toilets should be no less than Swan, Kohler or Toto, with seat warmers and bidet sprayers. Personally, I would prefer a large laundry room with an area for drip drying clothing, large counter space for folding clothing and storage for an ironing board, this over multi laundry rooms. At least there are rocker type light switches, rather than the 1950's switch. As a previous commenter mentioned, it is brilliant to have the elevator entrance in the garage. The garage floors must be epoxy. The outdoor grill requires a hood vent, other wise you will be painting every 6 months. The outdoor deck must be screened, due to Nashvilles, little mosquito problem which can last until November. The primary bedroom needs a sit-in g area for a small couch or Chesterfield and a desk. I do enjoy seeing Nashville again after many decades away and your tours as well.

I don't like the light paint color on the walls...
