For a community to be considered "as a 55+ community , the housing must be intended and operated for occupancy by persons 55 years of age or older and meet the following requirements: At least 80% of the occupied units are occupied by at least one person 55 years of age or older. The communities usually have age cut offs of 45 years old for the remaining 20%. They usually provide more affordable homes and they come with an HOA that can include a range of things from lawn care, to amenities such as pools, gyms, recreational activities & hosting tournaments. Well, this is Boynton Beach Part of Palm Beach County what can you expect. I used to live in Wellington which is not far from Boynton Beach this areas of Palm Beach county is beautiful but there’s so many snowbirds there during winter I could just imagine now probably the snowbirds live there permanently and that makes home prices even more expensive 😂

@@kelly51757 Boynton Beach has never been a "rich" community. It has always been about the same as Lake Worth. Lots of small, inexpensive homes. These builders of expensive homes are pricing ordinary people out of the market. Sometimes I can't imagine there are so many people who can afford such expensive homes. By the way, I remember when Wellington was nothing but woods. Forest Hill Blvd stopped at Rt. 441 and continued on the other side as a two-rutted dirt road. From the first buildings the homes in Wellington were out of reach for many in Palm Beach. If a lower income person wants a home in this area, the only option is to buy in a bad neighborhood.
