It's a little sad watching this now after watching the explorer videos of the house in disrepair. It was really such a beautiful little house, although all things have their season. Even sadder to hear that it has been completely dismantled, however I admit that a part of me agrees that it was probably safer that way... it looked structurally unsound and then who would be to blame if someone got hurt exploring it?

It's amazing the work that was put into construction considering it was only a set and not an actual property used for living in

So the cottage set was built between 1991 and 1992 and then filming began in 1992 ahead of their first broadcast on 4th January 1993.

But now the house is abandoned 😢 Our past is destroy. only the memories who can we remember

I’ve not long found out that Archie’s castle from Balamory has been turned into a hotel that you can stay in, quite expensive though. I wish something similar could have been done with this 😞 Apparently there were people that were pestering the place even during production back then. Not sure if the landowners perhaps would’ve been lenient with people wanting to see the place if no one had trespassed or vandalised.

If I were the owner of the land. I would have made it into a tourist stop. And restored the cottage and garden.

I never saw this because we live in america and I watched teletubbies back in 1997 thu 2002 but I saw they made a pond right where teletubbies were filmed and I miss that show it was cute. I clicked on hee and saw this and thought they were rebuilding all of this from tots but I looked closer and saw it is a very old picture and it is adorable to see how they built this. ☺️

I believe these pictures were taken around 1992 during the construction of the house

Fun fact: The Tots TV House is located in the woods in a big field on Sweet Knowle Farm in Wimpstone, Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire (On the same land where Teletubbies was filmed).

They also filmed Teletubbies in a few fields away from the Tots TV house, which is pretty interesting! Although I’m pissed at the farm bitch Rosemary Harding for turning Teletubby Land into a lake and for letting the Tots TV house deteriorate and crumble! The Tots TV house is still standing but it looks really run down now! The 2 things that have really destroyed that house are bad weather that has hit over the years, but mainly that greedy, selfish, and angry farmer Rosemary Harding! I don’t care what the people of Ragdoll Productions tell you, it’s Rosemary Harding that’s destroying our nostalgia and she can go to hell for that! Luckily, she’s an old woman and hopefully when she dies, someone who is a diehard fan of both Tots TV and Teletubbies will buy the farm and rebuild the sets to their former glory! Of course many people would be willing to help, but the only problem is money because it’s gonna take a lot of money to rebuild both places!

I can only imagine what the budget was, considering the house was also both a studio and an actual house (without the heating and floors). Most shows from that era would generally use a studio for internal filming. I suppose since they built the actual house they might as well get some actual use out of it. I suppose the reason it's still up is because it would have been an additional cost to take it down and considering it's tucked away in the woods and the fact the show didn't have the media coverage and infamy Teletubbies had a few years later, I don't think the land owner cared too much to take it down.

Even after filming some staff had to check on the cottage. To make sure it wasn't smashed up. Just incase another series was commissioned. The cottage was only discovered. Because of Teletubbie fans looking over to see what was inside the small little forest.

The cottage was burnt down and remains of it were still found.

Tots TV was filmed in 1992 at the location corresponding to Wimpstone (the same as Teletubbies)

The person whose land this was on is a terrible person. They could have preserved it or even made money letting people visit it but nope let it rot for years then burnt it down. I’m making a Roblox version of the cottage, though it’s not as accurate as I want it to be I tried my best using imagery from scenes and from pictures of the cottage on google

Sad all the money and time put into building this for it to be burned down. So sad could off donated it or made it into museum and the owners could of made bank like why are we so quick to destroy our world. Like so we really not realize that this is it we don't get another home. Humans suck

It's so sad isn't it. I got quiet upset seeing it abandoned in videos about 5-6 years ago. But then to find out it was completely burned down really hurt. It's a disgrace that the landowner burned it down. Should be done in for arson.
