Can these be mounted in a 2×4 framed wall! Agree that this is one of the best how to videos I've ever seen!

I’m installing this is my house right now, this video shows it being enclosed in high quality plywood first which is a solid idea. Nowhere in the written instruction manual does it tell you that.

Once it goes bad remember it is enclosed into the wall and you will notice the damage very late plus the damage will be 1 the wall where the toilet sits. 2 the bottom floor wall and ceiling You will notice the damage and would not be able to prevent it early and you could grow mold and complete destruction of floors walls ceilings.

​@@ashbinx I was working in a Carribean hotel where all toilets were like this one. I wanted to install one in my house so I would suggest this. After all structural installation the final finished wall (cover) to be something like an accent cover panel so if something happens you just unscrew the bolts and repair all damages.

I read all the comments below and no one mentioned these two MAJOR flaws: 1. At no time in the instructions of videos (Jan 2022) does it include instructions on drilling the left side 2x4s for the water inlet. Instead the video says” now that you have drilled the hole” that magically appears in the video. Also the copper water connection is behind the blue bottom rail so completely inaccessible front the front. If you install on an outside or concrete block wall good luck getting it tight. 2. The water tank makes it impossible to properly tighten the top left hand lag bolt. For the price of this system these types of major design flaws should not occur!

I want to install this but run my plumbing through the framing (horizontally) Is that possible? I don't see why not...But no one shows it going horizontally. Always through the floor as if that's the only way to accomplish a proper installation. I am slab on grade and want to use this to escape cutting out concrete.

How you give maintenance to the tank without tearing appart the whole wall?

If there is maintenance work needed on the water tank, how can one do that? Break down the tile wall?

You can turn off the water supply valve by removing the cover from the splash guard, removing the actuator pushrods, and removing the splash guard. The valve is there inside near the top.

My remote didn’t come with the piece to swap out the top of the remote that has the auto flush buttons. Where can I purchase that top clip on attachment?

It didn't come with it because you didn't purchase the "auto flush" option model, so in this case you wouldn't need info on where to purchase this remote clip cause it wouldn't do you any good.

Specs say 2x4 frame requires optional “waste outlet kit” ... where is that anywhere?

Why does it not show the foam gasket between the toilet and the wall ?

I was dangling my feet off the toilet pretending the ground was lava. I did a little butt hop and the toilet broke out of the wall... As I lay on the floor with a mild concussion the water and brown monster mudd splashes onto my face. Reevaluating how i ended up in that current situation I couldn't help but think I should have got a 1 piece toilet. They are sexy. They are sleek. They are like a smooth sleek bentley.

How does the plywood fit in? If we don’t have tile finish, Is it gypsum board over the plywood?

The plywood is used instead of drywall. When you screw the toilet to the wall the drywall may compress. You can use high density drywall when tiling with a full coverage of adhesive and silicone caulk the metal frame so there is no gaps to prevent tiles from cracking when the toilet compresses against the wall when you tighten it to the wall.

What’s the soundtrack?

Have to put in 2 of these toilets for a customer, never doing these again so frustrating, paper instructions are useless. It’s so much easy to put in a standard regular toilet.

remove the cover plate for the flush buttons and all parts can be repaired or replaced . if there is a problem with the outgoing drain pipe , the toilet and the wall tiles will have to be removed . however this almost never occurs so ,,,

All looks good but if/when that cistern fails, it’s going to be a lot of work getting to it behind the tiles and wall!

Can this support a 300lbs man?

This video is very helpful but no where in the instructions does it say the you need to install a pc of plywood. I have 5 of these in a house right now and they all shake because the wall has a flex in it

we always mount these in 2x6 walls to limit that flex, and then the plywood on top, which also helps protect the tank from punctures.

@@heartpimp I 100% agree with you the ones that are mounted in the house I’m at we’re installed by a shotty plumber. I never usually talk down on contractors but these guys were so bad they were thrown off the job. The toilets I was able to secure them tightly without the plywood but for further jobs with these toilets I will for sure be adding the plywood it just makes sense. Thank you.

do not purchase this item it has many flaws

Allen wrench is provided, but many necessary components aren’t.

TOTO please do a video installation into a concrete block wall. Also, find a solution so the bidet controls are not next to the toilet. Bluetooth control panel that can be attached anywhere on a wall. Phone app or Google voice command.

We have concrete or stone walls in india and it is easy to install there. However i wanted this in Australia and its soooo expensive here

I know what you mean.i worked in Carribean island St.Maarten and there such toilet was 120 euro .now I am in Canada and one such toilet is from 1500 to 2000 dollars .I don't understand why ?

My wife loves these toilets. Today in chat I wanted to explain to her how bad they are and I was like fingers crossed she would agree and she sent me this. "I did a little research and I do not want this toilet they can blow up into the wall cavity and damage the walls and the beautiful coffered ceiling in our basement so put regular" 😂 I was ohhhh niceeeeeee.

The wall mounts are standard In many countries. I am still not sure, but what I am told by European friends is that they are surprised by all the gross problems with their USA toilets. The clogging, overflowing, and leaky flaps are something they don’t see in decades of use in Europe, and they are blown away that everyone knows what goes on with the pieces in the tank. They say that wall mounted toilets flush better/more powerful, and are cleaner on the inside, and easier to clean on the outside. So I think their way of thinking is it’s better to have one day with an annoying install, than many small shitty 😅 problems over time. But I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. The complexity is hurting my brain.
