Sure, live in the caves of canyon walls, with narrow passages , large boulders and logs, so they must dismount to continue, trip lines, hunting pits whip spears etc . what makes you think that the same lunatics agenda doesn't proliferate today? They're just more subversive and have better marketing.

Only the early Middle Ages is referred to as the “dark ages” not the entire medieval period
