with the Vampire Coast trailer it actually shows the story of Luthor Harkon (the vampire digging in the sand) and what happened to him is he washed ashore on Lustria (Lizardman continent) and broke into a Lizardmans temple however he triggered a trap which sundered his mind (why he alks as if he was a group of people) he tried to fix himself re-uniting the treasure that broke apart but that didn't work....in short he really is insane in a world where sanity is short for a lot of characters

The dark elf leader in Malekith. He is the reason elves split into dark and high elves. He wanted to be king of elves, but lost the game of thrones, then poisoned the guy who won, and tried to go through the ritual to become king. The gods disagreed, and the phoenix flames burned him alive. His mother (the witch that talks to him in the trailer) saved him by giving him Darth Vader treatment - that magic armor is what's keeping him alive.

Lizardmen and Skaven have been at each other for CENTURIES. Skaven bring catastrophic plagues, warpstone technology, and an endless amount of meat for the grinder. The lizardmen have magic, their ancient and powerful, purpose-made kin, and the cold-blooded affinity they feel for Lustria's beasts.

One thing a lot of people either don't realize, don't remmeber or don't know is that the little showdown between Oxyotl(Tiny lil blowpipe Chameleon Skink) and Taurox (The giant sod-off armoured Minotaur) is that in lore, Taurox kills ANYTHING that so much as makes eye contact with him, even members of his former tribe and even the Daemon that came to offer him some sweet goodness from Chaos. So Oxyotl looked him right in the eyes, kept his gaze and basicaly said "Come at me bro." and Taurox immediatly obliges.

As for strongest individuals in the lore, it's a tossup between Lord Kroak, Nagash and Kairos Fateweaver (maybe Teclis and Caledor Dragontamer). There are others who are powerful in their realms but weaker outside it such as Ariel. And then there are the gods (which I'm not completely sure if Nagash and Dragon Emperor should be included as), of whom most powerful magic-wise is obviously Tzeentch.

Ushabti: Animated, animal-headed constructs designed to defend the tombs of Nehekara. Their purpose is simple, break open a tomb king crypt, and the Ushabti will tear you to shreds. The giant scorpion is actually half a husk, half a sculpture filled with bones. Back when they were still alive, the Khemrians were pioneers of necromancy, which they used to make all sorts of bone golems for their army. It was only after the great river was poisoned by their enemies and the whole nation died that necromancy was applied to the actual citizens.

Technically in Fantasy world, Tzeentch (One of Chaos gods) is the most powerful magic user faction, but if we looking at non Daemon faction? It's either Lizardmen or High Elf, as High Elf masters a lot of spell lores, while Lizardmen use powerful ancient spells that not many can use. But to be fair, many factions and races have mastered their own lore of magics, just like undead with Necromancy and Lore of the dead, while Greenskin (Orc and Goblin kin alike) can master their own spell. Some undead can even use other lore like Vampire Coast (Pirate vampire and zombie) who can master the lore of the deep (Ocean spell). Dwarf doesn't use magic spell as they to use magic rune, that they crafted. Human of empire can use many like High Elf, but they would mostly use Fire, Light, Beast, Metal, and Shadow lore. Other human such as Brettonia and Kislev would use something like Ice, Tempest, Heaven, and Life.

you should read the I believe 3rd book in the Gotrek and Felix series called Skavenslayer. You don't really need the previous books but it helps a bit. It is all about Gotrek and Felix being in Nuln while the Skaven prepare an Invasion and the 2 constantly get in their way and you see a lot from the Skaven perspective how they constantly try to undermine their political rivals and get in their own way. It's a lot of fun.

Ikkit best Inventor. Yes-yes. Have all the doomrockets. Ikkit is my favourite Skaven Lord his DLC added some of the best units to the Skaven roster (Rattling guns and Jezzails aka the sniper rifles) and if you start as him you get access to the forbidden Workshop mechanic which let's you improve all the weapons team units. So for example the jezzails can walk around and are invisible until they shoot or get to close and the rattling guns get infinite ammunition (well replenishing but details) which is ridiculous for long battles and allows them to fire without worrying about wasting ammo. the only unit which completes the arsenal are the bombardiers basically rats with mortars strapped to their back which catapult poison globes in a high arc over long distances. 3 units of those can win you entire offensive sieges with all their upgrades by just staying back and weakening all the enemy units from outside the enemies range. They are ludicrous but not too good in in open field but can still damage units a lot before the melee begins. There is even an army build called the weapons team doomstack where you only recruit ranged weapons teams/artillery and a few sorcerers of plague. They can summon units of clanrats (basic infantry) up to 5 times per battle (with a cool down) to tie down enemy units and if you have 3 of them that is 15 units worth of cannon fodder (armies can have 20 units) plus they can still use other spells to lock down or weake nanything that gets through. all that while the rest of your artillery and weapon teams just lay into the enemy from range. In the campaign the only way that army gets defeated is if you have to fight multiple full stacks of armies at once and you get surrounded or use up all ammo.

As a group the Slann are the strongest magic users. More specifically, Lord Kroak is a Slann so absurdly powerful that he has just chosen not to die on multiple occasions, survived the destruction of Warhammer Fantasy and started creating bodies for himself and resurrecting lizardmen armies on a whim in Age of Sigmar. Even within the more restrained setting of Warhammer Fantasy, the only reason he isn't considered a god is by technicality. Even Kairos Fateweaver and Nagash at full power aren't his superiors, being his equals at best. Among living spellcasters, probably the Slann Lord Mazdamundi, from the first trailer, followed closely by Teclis, the high elf from the same trailer. The enormous bipedal crocodile is Nakai the Wanderer, a being so laughably powerful that people overlook how powerful he is. On top of being a ten tonne bipedal crocodile, he is over four thousand years old, wields a weapon which contains the latent consciousness of the lizardmen's long-vanished war god, granting the weapon sentience, he is basically un-killable, and may not actually be a Kroxigor, instead possibly being either the physical manifestation of the Lustrian continent, the avatar/reincarnation of the aforementioned war god, or both. His feats include, almost single-handedly winning a battle against the Vampire Pirates, defeating a huge Skaven army while powering through the most deadly concoction of poisons and diseases ever created, courtesy of a mutated rat ogre, and single handedly holding the Bridge of Stars against a daemon army for three days, which means he either cannot die, or cannot lose, or both, since if he could, he would have done so.

Strongest mages still living in warhammer fantasy are the Slann. Big toad guys. Powerful Daemons may be stronger as there are no first generation slann still alive and only a handful of the second generation around. Elves are pretty strong at magic, but really old vampires may give them a run for their money. I don’t think anyone else really comes close in the well established lore. The Naga of Kuresh are supposed to be even older than the lizards and may have stronger mages but there is next to no lore on them.

When the flame of Asuryan set him ablaze and nearly killed him, Morathi, his mother and sorceress leader of the dark elf cult of excess, led her and her son's supporters to the kingdom of Nagarythe to save his life. One thing led to another and Nagarythe was destroyed by magic, turning into what is basically an archipelago that stands constant guard against dark elf assault.

When it comes to power of magic in warhammer fantasy, it gets complicated. The Lizardmen are, in my opinion, the most powerful magic users. Or at least they were. The most powerful magic user is a dead Slann of the first generation. The first generation of Slann actually met the Old Ones! But since all first generation Slann are dead and the second generation like Mazdamundi are not nearly as powerful (imagine the power of live first gen Slann, terrifying!). I would say that the Elves claim the title of the most powerful magic users.
