@@roninbyproxy There was a free update that unlocks the Immortal Empires for everyone. You don't need the previous games.
The chaos gods do indeed fight each other a lot more than they fight humans. That’s all they do in the warp. Khorne especially hates slaneesh and nurgle hates tzeetch. Fights in the human world is just there rare collabs until one inevitably breaks the truce.

I thought Khorne hated Tzeench bc they are “cowards” who use magic or something… not up to date on my wh law though so may be wrong… also maybe Khorne just hates everyone lol
Sees trailers of the Chaos factions literally fighting each other, 'I can't see these gods fighting each other' well done
So that two-headed bird you liked? That is Kairos Fateweaver, the oldest and wisest of Tzeentch's Greater Daemons. His deal is that he can see the past and future, but is blind to the present. Now why is that? Well, Tzeentch wants knowledge of EVERYTHING and wanted that power from something called the Well of Eternity. But even Tzeentch, the Chaos God of deceit, trickery, sorcery and change was unsure of how he would come out if he ever went down there, if he ever emerged at all. So what did he do? He grabbed his Great Vizier, Kairos, and THREW him right into the Well. Kairos tumbled through time and space for who knows how long but he eventually managed to claw his way out. He was now very, VERY old, and for immortal beings like Daemons, that should tell you something. He also grew a second head. Kairos now mumbles to himself from time to time and Tzeentch's other Daemons scribble down his every whisper just to partake of even the faintest glimmer of the future Fateweaver now sees. There's a problem though. Kairos is a liar, as are all Tzeentch Daemons, but he also speaks truth. But he's weird. One head will tell you the unbaised, perfect truth and the other will lie to you on a similarly perfect note. And you NEVER know which is which. That aside, he's a fair bit weaker than other Lords of Change due to being frail and blind but makes up for it by being the most powerful Daemon Sorcerer in the entire Warhammer setting.

See. Thats why Khornes my favorite. Point. Smash. Repeat. Ah, the simple things in life..... Cool name, btw. Nocturne, right? LOL. Man, the crying people did over THAT back in the day.....
Every part of Total War: Warhammer has certain races involved with their own campaings. But if you buy all 3 you'll have access to "Immortal Empires" campaing that has all races from all parts. DLC's from all games are laso available for Immortal Empires if you've bought them. Keep in mind that mechanics for some races differ from part to part.
Although they're seperate timelines. The era is inspired mostly something towards mid-renaissance or early to mid 1500's. Where the transition from knights and crossbows to guns and cannons was happening
I can recommend the "Total War: WARHAMMER III - Immortal Empires Map First Look" video to get an overview of the Worldmap
Grand Cathay, the faction inspired by fantasy ancient china, has been part of the lore for Warhammer Fantasy for a long time. They never had models though, and the Total War games are actually the first time we got to see anything substantial about them. Greasus Goldtooth, the Ogre on the wheelbarrow, actually has the leg he's munching from in his model. They did downgrade him for the game though, as he' actually carried around by a bunch of Gnoblars (the runt Goblins that hang out with the Ogres) alongside his treasure (they collect it in the back and cover the ground where he wants to go with it constantly). He's actually the strongest Ogre around, but he decided he's too rich to walk properly.
Yes, Warhammer is massive. The non-exhaustive list of factions: -Forces of Chaos; Warriors of Chaos, Daemons of Chaos and Northmen/Marauders, Beastmen. -The Empire of Man, based on 16th-17th Rennaisance Europe, founded by Sigmar. -The Kislevites; The Most Northern Human region, just before the Wastelands of the North and the Chaos Desolation (the country of the Ice queen and bears) -The Bretonians; Humans who are organised as Knights, more in line with 14th century Medival EU and the Crusades. -The Elves: The High Elves, Masters of Magic, the Woodelves, and the Dark Elves, traitoruous Cousins of the High Elves, led by the Sorceror King, Malekith. -The Orcs & Goblins, classic. -The Ogres, based around Siberian/Mongolian culture. -The Skavens, the rat people, with a vast Underground Empire that barely anyone on the surface know's about -The Dwarves, with the classic Dwarves, who every grudge and insult is written in the Great book of Grudges, and the Chaos Dwarfs, more based on Persian Empire visuals and culture, they are the Smiths and Craftsman of the forces of Chaos. -The Undead, with the "Wet" kind, the Vampire Counts, and the "Dry" kind, the Tomb Kings. -The Lizardmen, guardians of the relics and secrets of the World's progenitors, the Ancients. -Grand Cathay, Human empire, based on Ancient China. And each of these Factions, has their Sub-factions and Leaders/Heroes/Villains.
"No voice in our ears but the Maw! We praise the sound of its call! We'll plunder and feast on any man, any beast! Doesn't matter, we'll snack on them all! The stragglers we didnt consume, are chucked in our sacrifice stew! They scream and they run but that's part of the fun! 'Cuz the Ogres are coming to get yah!"
Technically warhammer Fantasy exists in an entirely separate universe from warhammer 40K, they're only connected by the Warp. Also, the trailers for Warhammer 1 are good, but 2 are great, there are some real good races in 2 they made some good trailers for.

I have a hypothesis that the Old Ones of 40k went through the Warp to Fantasy-world and started to mold it as their last hidden bastion against the Necrons
@Scarycrow89

@@ilesalmo7724 I doubt it, fantasy and Age of Sigmar have the winds of magic, the different types of magic, from the realm of chaos. The warp of 40k does not have anything likes the winds of magic. So even the warp and the realm of chaos are distinct.
Followers and demons of different gods of chaos fight among themselves. That gray demon with big horns, which changed its appearance, is Yuri, he is a representative of indivisible chaos.
Grandfather Nugrle "Loves us all!!!". By far my favourite factions in the WH universe! Unfortunately such an underdog compared to Khorne, Slaanesh and Tzeentch
"I have literally no idea whats going on it's just fun as hell." Yup, that's warhammer lol.
It's always a bit disappointing when people not too familiar with the lore degrade Slaanesh to Sex only. The motives and ideas of the different Chaos gods runs so much deeper and intricate.
you consider fantasy and 40k 2 seperate universes its easier that way they arent related 40k is essentially fantasy but in space but they don't interact.
10:47 The nerdgasm I experienced watching this scene was out of this world. Arguably one of the coolest cinematics i've ever seen from Warhammer.
Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k are their own things. Fantasy is obviously fantasy and 40k is more scifi with fantasy elements like psychic powers/magic. They aren't connected. Heard that in Total War: Warhammer 3 the tutorial has a great story but rest of it is ok or meh. Gods of Chaos have an eternal struggle against each other and they call it the Great Game. They rarely bother with the mortal realm but their mortal servants are usually the ones to cause all the problems. A lot of the factions take real world inspiration.

This is super interesting thank you. So even though the chaos gods are in it, it's not like the warp? They just fight each other?
@Staccet
Жыл бұрын
@@roninbyproxy The Warp, the Chaos Gods and daemons are mostly the same in both universes. I guess in the early drafts the universes were supposed to be connected somehow but that idea was scrapped. Most of the time the Chaos gods just fight each other in the Warp. But they do little things like blessings and curses when mortals do some real bad horryfying shit to -notice me senpai- invoke the gods. Rarely the Chaos gods unite in any meaningful way.

40k isn't scifi. It's space fantasy. The same category Star Wars falls into but even stupider.

when the soup is so bad you think it's one of papa nurgle's plagues.
All the units are in the tabletop.
Pretty much the only things common between Fantasy and 40k are the four Chaos gods. Warhammer Fantasy world MIGHT have been (or even is still) part of the 40k timeline madness, but it's not really a certainty.

I started with 40K but came to like the Old World better over time. Its alot more relatable to follow, tbh. 40K gets all over the place and convoluted. Fantasy does too, dont get me wrong, but not nearly as bad. Plus when you learn all the characters and their motivations, it gets really fun to follow. And to answer your question "Is it any good"? Its the best strategy/fantasy wargame on the market. And its not even close. And this would be the perfect time for new people to get into it, as they just made the mega campaign available even if you only own part 3.

True but i think it’s better to wait till winter sale because if they like empire, i don’t think a new player can survive the harshness of playing as the empire right now so when they playing in winter, they finally can access the empire rework with a discount price. Also for me alone i prefer the old world itself because the similarities with lord of the ring but sometimes 40k give you that doomguy vibes
Their technology ist basically renessaince inspired with early Flintlock Pistols, muskets and canons, there are some races Like skaven ans Chaos dwarves that are technology more advanced cause they Power their Machines with magic Artillery in Form of canons has been a Thing since the middle ages, hundred years war hast Seen fought Knights vs canons and so
there is a new one, that is pretty epic
A gun-axe of this size would be very uncomfortable to use - a rifle is way heavier than an ordinary axe handle. But it's fantasy, so they get a pass.
you might check at well at 1&2 trailers please, they more fun than 3, in 2 BDSM armybis in Dark Elves faction lol cheers mate 🍻

Just found these Videos, love the overall reactions, you no longer need all the other Total War Warhammer games, just the third one to play the MASSIVE map with all the factions. you need to buy the DLC guys to play as them but they are on the map for you to still fight and if you like someone you can buy them and get right to it.

Thanks my dude 🙏 made me day.
theres warhammer fantasy and 40k the chaos gods exist in both universes but they are both not connected to each other even so the god permiate trough both universes
Get into it.. then buy all the models when they release this version of the table top game.
The reason why everyone is cool in Warhammer? Easy... There are no good guys. EVERYONE is a bad guy in some way, shape or form.
ogres what are they eating. pretty much everything
40k does have it's own strategy games in the dawn of war series if you want to check them out but I'd avoid dawn of war 3 it is easily the worst of them.
If you would play the game, I would suggest playing at hard or lower difficulty for both campaign and battle. Because above that the game would become very annoying and tedious. It would take patience and dedication to go beyond that, and usually only tryhards are able to enjoy them.

As a legendary player, i do not agree what you have just said! Warhammer 3 legendary is way easier than warhammer 2 legendary was, and why would anyone who plays very hard or legendary is a tryhard? I really dont understand where that statement comes from, players who play legendary usually the ones that didn't find lower difficulties difficult enough. My recommendation is that play on easy for your first campaing if you playing the game first time, there is no shame playing on easy, just have fun and learn because there is a lot to take in! Cheers! :D
