Heir, you should get in touch with this "Retired Gamer" guy and play more with / against him. He brings so much more interesting battles to your viewers than just your, as usually steamrolling the opponent, kind of battles. I really enjoy watching you 2 guys fighting it out! Very interesting. OMG the first movement of your enemy was amazing. I really don't know how do you manage to get out and regroup some of your units to come back and fight. Good battle!!

Seeing this battle, and the last battle you played against this guy(so many spear) he knows how to use the pike and the spear. Just like historically they need to be back up with good cavalry. He does it here, and he did it in the Athens vs Parthia game. Nice to see people shunning the sword for the spear, the pike,, the lance, the javelin and making it work.

Dude that battle was intense! It makes me want to play against your opponent. Using Macedon, levy pikes, no archers, and no swords against a Seleucid thorax build plus armored elephants! That is serious talent there

nice battle heir i loved it u lost but at the samme time u learned and so did we. i also like that its like is he gona win or lose and stuff i mean u win 99% battles we see its win all time and we just know ur gona win but do what u want another great battle fro heir:D

I always love to see some great cav moves. the pikes may secures the victory but the other guy took control with his cav better to act then react.

Usually I support Heir, but here, for once I was glad that his opponent won, he deserved it IMO. The reasons why I say that are because Heir often says that he doesn't like to bring elephants, especially armoured ones against factions that are not "power-factions". I'm not stating that it was dishonourable or that he shouldn't have bring them, but it gives even more merit to his opponent who moreover did a very good job to annihilate most of Heir's destructive power and furthermore, proved that you CAN play offensively with a pike core. Good game to both of them, it was a very interesting battles.

I always like it when a hellenic army brings a pike line. May not be the easiest army to use but it feels realistic and just looks right

yeah ive never seen anyone do that good against heir in the beginning. with a pike army no less.

You got out-played there by quite a fair bit

Nice battle. At 02:30 you could have tried to sacrifice one or two peltast units on the citizen cav so you can catch up with your elephants. Easier said than done, though. The Macedonian did a great job. But I think against a Seleucid meta built it would have been quite difficult for him.

I haven't played Rome 2 but I've played all the other goal wars. It seems if you charged up the center you would destroy his front line easily since they're specialized troops not good for frontal assaults. His car would flank but they mostly would be met by your car. He ended up flanking anyways so its not like it helped to hold position.

No of fence heir, but your opponent really deserved to win this fight cause of how well he did

Heir your units routed in the end, because of a stupid glitch in patch 14. The glitch sometimes gives you either unbreakable more, or make you insta- rout when you lose 75% of your army.

Heir do you have a video I can send to my friend who just got the game yesterday and has never played total war before, that explains some of the basics of battles?

You said you was surprised because pikes were in the center. Where else they should have been?

It's pronounced Meed-yan not Meh-dian. Median is a way of saying Mede influenced. Median language, Median culture etc. Just thought I'd state it. It was getting a bit annoying every time I heard Meh-dian Cav

make sure your up to date and dont have anymods also if you live in a rual area or have crap internet its hard to find matches but theirs still a solid number online shogun 2

i forgot how do u do a group attack?

Hi guys. I have this bug with routing units. When i click unit which is running away (I cant control it but its flag is on battlefeld) i cant deselect it and when I select other unit its still in selection. Maybe u got some solution to it? How to unselect routed unit.

All I can say Heir is rule of three....rule of three. Also all the other mistakes :D but don't worry.

I don't think you made a lot of big mistakes this match. This opponent just had the right tools and used them flawlessly.

Sure that cav tactic was clever, but it also felt kind of cheap for some reason. :(

I realize it isn't really cheap ... I have no logical reason as to why I feel that it was. Might just be because the build, in addition to how it was used proved so effective against Heir's build.

heir needs to learn to micro.

I think your units retreated because of the mass route system in Rome 2. If you lose enough men the will break and scatter. I don't like this system. It needs to be a balance of power system instead of this.
