About 23 years ago I used to work down the street from Rick's little atelier that was off Hollywood boulevard, near Michelle's Cafe Les Deux. There used to be branches, dead birds, sun dried bones in the window. I used to wonder, "What's going on in there?" He's one of the few who fuses art and fashion together in a meaningful way. I have pieces that I bought in 2008 that I still can wear today. You can't say that about many designers today. What you buy today will look ridiculous in a few years. Mark my words.

That’s great to hear! RIck stuff, really does exceed the ‘trendy’ shit, it’s just RIck Owens which is already outside conventionality, a modernity from humble beginnings. I have some Rick stuff from 2000s and still wear them weekly .

Acid can open you up for sure but as he said he didn’t do it for a very long time. You either got the sauce or you don’t, acid can’t heal a numb soul. Creativity and Brilliance has to be available to you without psychoactive substances because you can’t be high all the time (I know you can but shits bad)

It is really hard to qualify just how fantastic and rich all of this is. So many of these people can be truly wise and enriching people. All while still being fun and full of aesthetic beauty. Everything he says here is as easy to applaud as the work and there is just so much depth in here it’s honestly like being on another planet or in a dream of the best kind. Just all around mind blowing and beautiful and abundant with creativity and nuance and above all, respect and love. It’s very cool. You can tell by how people react in the comments that everyone watching was totally floored.
