    The eclipse was extremely symbolic to me as I’m just over one year sober from a deadly fentanyl addiction. So grateful to have made it out alive to witness it. “He restoreth my soul”

    You can do it. You are doing it. When you feel that urge, move. Dont cave. Walk, run, clean, drive, swim, bike, just move your body. What will happen is a physiologic response in the brain. When you move, you will be retraining your brain to replace one "feel good" with the "real good" activity produced by endorphins. This is built in "mechanism" within every human created by GOD. Love to you. There are others in your life who you can help and bring joy to....increasing your own joy by giving, TENFOLD. ❤

    I saw it in Dallas. The overcast morning turned to partly cloudy and I could see totality unobstructed! So amazing!

    I was in SE Dallas in Ennis. It was amazing and completely clear for the entire totality 4 min. 23 seconds. Amanzing view and it is nothing like the photos we see online. I think that is what catches everyone in awe, because it is so much clearer, sharper, and larger than the photographs captured are able to show it. God Bless

    Saw it from my own backyard in Eagle Pass, Texas with my family, it was awesome! 100% totality, it was dark for almost 4 minutes :)

    @@huyked Saw totality in Lemington VT. Absolutely no cloud cover. Id aquate it to a full moon night but at the same time in the horizon lays remnants of a sunset

    @@huyked it’s the same effect you get at sunset. Only difference is that the twilight is all around you, not just in one direction like dusk or dawn. It doesn’t feel like nighttime at all, but certainly doesn’t feel like daytime either.

    I liked watching the light turn to darkness and the temperature drop more than watching the moon block out the sun . It gave me more appreciation of the power of the sun than anything else . Very glad to be able to witness it in my lifetime !!

    This was the first time I saw a 100% totality eclipse. I've seen a 90% years ago but it has nothing on the 100% totality. Unless you've experienced it... you have no idea what you've missed. The most beautiful natural event I have ever seen in my life. A majestic diamond in the sky

    I saw 4 minutes 13 seconds of totality in Evening Shade , Arkansas. It was unbelievable. I could not have asked for it to go better. Unlike anything I’ve ever seen , no photos or video truly do it justice. It’s an event that is truly a magnificent phenomenon to witness.

    @@Maspetshe’s not being dramatic. I witnessed totality near Cleveland Ohio, and to see the moon completely blocking the sun with the chromosphere shining all around it was unbelievable.

    Interesting... I initially planned to travel to Warm Springs, Arkansas where I would have had 4 minutes and 12.4 seconds, but decided to go to Mountain Home, Arkansas where I got 3 minutes and 16 seconds because it was 2 hours less driving. I regret that decision.

    We were scheduled to go to San Antonio, but after the final forecast, we cancelled and decided to drive down to Vincennes, Indiana. Clear skies and mid-70s. This was one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Puts the annular eclipse from October, 23 to shame.

    I saw it in Irving, TX. It was just MAGNIFICENT! I could see a few tones of blue and purple around the moon, they call it the corona of the eclipse. It got very dark for 4 minutes! It was one of the most extraordinary things I’ve ever witnessed in my life!

    I'm in Australia, so didn't have it, but I saw a Lunar Eclipse in 2000 and it blew my mind, the Moon looked like an orange ping pong ball. Normally it looks flat but during the eclipse it look like a little ball, it was amazing!

    I had the same thought driving home in 2017 as I did today, this is one of the few very beautiful moments of full national unity we have, something that really brings us all together, it's so beautiful, I wish we could find more things like this as a nation.

    Humans are strange creatures, normally we're at each other's throats in a dog-eat-dog world, but you block out the sun for three and a half minutes, and we realise none of that is truly important, there are bigger forces than us in the universe and we come together. If only we didn't have to have eclipses to make us come together...

    @@MrDoctorMabuse It's things like this that encouraged me to become interested in science as a kid in the 1970s, and an interest in things greater than mankind's petty squabbles. I didn't get to witness this because I'm Australian, but it's uplifting to see the effect it had on millions of Americans and viewers.

    I have been very lucky in life to travel a bit. I have seen sunsets on tropical beaches, marvelously sculpted and saturated desert canyons, and played in the snow on mountaintops in midsummer. I was able to witness this eclipse today in rural Vermont with a long time friend, and nobody else in sight. It easily tops anything else that I have experienced. Truly a blessing, as well as a moving and extraordinary sight that no camera can fully capture. I will never forget it.

    Watched it from Waldo, Ohio. It was much more spectacular than I was expecting. Was blown away by the 360 degree sunset. First thought the approaching shadow was a storm coming toward us. So glad I traveled to see it (not too far). It was worth all 3.12 minutes of totality, plus 4 hours driving time, and several hours waiting.😳♌️🌚

    Wish I was there. Couldn't see from my country but our time 3pm suddenly temperature dropped and very dim with thunders and heavy rain. Sun was completely blocked by clouds. Malaysia. Thank you all for the clips and images. At least I saw it through you all

    I cried so hard. Extremely Emotional. I drove from California to Poplar Bluff Missouri And it Was Absolutely Amazing And not able to Describe the Emotions. Happy Tears and then Sad tears. Absolutely Phenomenal

    It just bring so. much emotion smh it just makes you feel so honored🤷‍♀️🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 and humbled God is real and he's with all of us and have you guys noticed I don't think the news ever reported it which they never do about how much peace it was everywhere around the world we were all standing next to each other in peace that's what the US is built on peace and quiet no drama I can just relive watching this moment for the rest of my life we're all the Americans and everybody across the world standing next to each other with no hate no harm just excitement and in love 😁🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🤦‍♀️❤🎉🌘

    Fantastic. We drove from Saginaw mi. Down to Ohio. Oh my goodness. It was like an exodus out of the mitten. But it was so very worth the trip. The whole world was united with one moment in time. For one moment in time.

    Travelled 650 miles to Lampasas, Texas. The most amazing one I've ever seen. Clouds all morning and then...a hole in the clouds just before it started. Very emotional!

    We drove from eastern West Virginia to Linesville Spillway PA to see it! The clouds cleared away from the sun long enough to see the total eclipse completely. I saw a long baileys bead but didn’t realize at the time what it was called, but thrilling anyway. Just arrived home from the trip. Traffic n the main highway was horrendous both ways. Fantastic, beautiful experience! My uncle and aunt drove from Arizona to Texas- over 400 miles!

    We got lucky in Terre Haute, IN. The cloud cover came through about 3 hours earlier than forecasted. We got a totally unobstructed view of the most spectacular event I have ever seen. My condolences to you for not being able to have the same experience.😢

    Hi! Mexican here! Travelled 13 hours in a van with a bunch of friends to watch it in Cuatro Ciénegas, Coahuila (northern Mexico). My sister watched it near Montreal, Canada. Great to share this as humans and our particular consciousness. This life experience is truly indescribable. ¡Abrazos a todos!

    The cloud's actually made it to where you could see every detail. Even the cell phone got great video And the sun dog's in the clouds around it all. WoW!! Those colors! Dallas Tx

    I didn’t understand all the hype but camera’s definitely could not capture what you can see raw. It was quite emotional and the most beautiful thing I’ve seen. The moon was so big and the sunlight shining out was spectacular. The best experience I got to have with my family, I wish I could experience that joy again.

    Great piece! It captured a lot of the awe and emotion of the day. I was there, too, at Lake Champlain. It was my second total eclipse (first in 2017) and it left me just as stunned as the first one. Literally breathtaking to see this in person. The videos and photos don’t do it any justice.

    @@pm110978 There was orangey light all around the horizon. The sky goes a deep violet-black. The only light is from the solar corona and the horizon, so it's about as bright as a quarter moon. Quite dark.

    I was In Rochester and it was unfortunately very cloudy so we couldn’t see the corona but it still got dark. I’m bummed that we couldn’t see it but atleast we saw something

    I’m from there so my family saw it, but I’m away at college so I didn’t see the full eclipse. They said it was really cloudy but it did look pretty dark. Apparently some of the animals thought it was night
