I saw it in Dallas. The most freaking incredible thing I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration. Your whole surroundings turn to dusk, the sun disappears and is replaced by a hole in the sky, surrounded by a pink, blue and yellow ring of light, and your heart fills with awe, and a little bit of fear! Makes you feel amazed, small, and out of control. This is what the philosophers call the sublime.

I have never witnessed in my life, a total eclipse! That must've been some experience. Out here in California, we only got a 60% coverage at most so it was still broad daylight with a little bit of an amberish ambience state wide. But to be out in the dark completely like that at noon time, wow!!! I can't imagine that.

@paulmerritt2484 For some people a total eclipse is a "once in a lifetime event." I'm 48 yrs old and up till now have only seen partial eclipses.
Total eclipse in Flora, IL. I was pretty shocked seeing that the sky didn't really darken at all for us in 2017. This was the first total solar eclipse I've ever seen and, based on what I've been hearing, maybe the last. I'm very grateful to have been alive to experience this, and to get to watch it with my dad as well.
An awesome experience

I was in Cincinnati...It looked dark but like a flashlight or fluorescent light was on us. Shadows of the rays of the sun made it look like the ground was moving. It was sluggish movement at first, then everything went so fast. The whole neighborhood was quiet.
Saw this from south Ontario. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing during totality and I didn’t think it would look nearly as amazing as it did

Beautiful!
The moon was with the sun from sunrise to sunset yesterday As the sun and moon rose 2 mins apart and set 3 mins apart, so I'm assuming thats why there was a total solar eclipse that day, I've looked back each month of new moons this year and the time difference between them both rising at setting at nearly the same time was the differences were a good 10 to 45mins apart not just 2 or 3 m8nutes
The Sun is over 1,300,000 times the size of the Earth. The Sun's diameter is over 109 times the diameter of the Earth. Just to clarify some of the accidental wrong information given in this broadcast. It happens.

In a northwest suburb of Indy, there were a few but very thin or wispy clouds. The sun was still clear and the corona visible. The thin clouds added to an eerie effect. It was nothing short of breathtaking. As awe-inspiring as the experience in southern IL in 2017.
I just couldn’t finish this totality, totality,totality,totality……….😵💫😵💫😵💫
I was north of Nashville in 2017 and today I was just outside of Batesville AR. It was a perfectly clear sky and it appeared closer than in 2017. I thank GOD for blessing me to experience both.
I think that the reporter at 35:00 should’ve let the newlyweds enjoy their moment because he kind of ruined it for them, interrupting them and asking them questions and the gentleman was even saying “ yeah you see the ring around the sun it’s so cool and amazing” in other words, he was trying to shift the focus just for the meantime. Insanely rude to take that away from them even though I’m glad they were still able to see it, but not fully because they were being interrupted questions at the time of totality.. I watched it from Dallas, Texas, and it was the most amazing thing ever ! 🙌✨🌞🌑❤️

@@gantz0949 The only noticeable features of the 45% eclipse here in Sacramento were just before the start of it an abrupt drop in temperature together with a brisk cool breeze blowing. That happened too during the August 2017 79% eclipse, but that one also included a fascinating weird change in the sky color to a mottled grayish-blue. This time i didn't notice any sky change, and none of many photos i took of the sun (very carefully avoiding looking at it) showed a "bite" out of it.
