    Great video Brant! Catching fish is awesome even if they are not keepers. Just being out there enjoying God's creation is all I need. I enjoyed meeting you and chatting with you at the store last May. Hope to get there again in the spring. Tight Lines!!

    Cool video! Winter fishing where I'm from means trolling time. We troll jigs on spider rigs for crappie and live baits ( herring trout shiners etc...) for stripers.

    Great video! I'm from the south Carolina low country. I grew up catching eastern chain pickrel, or "jackfish" as we called em. Great fighters and great fried up next to some yellla grits!

    I had a tracker just like that growing up, great little boat especially for a 15 year old and his buddy. Spent many good days out on Lake Toho and the Kissimmee Chain of lakes catching some rays and some nice LMBs.

    In the winter south texas we catch mixed bags of specs, black drum, reds, flounder and more with just live shrimp and a split shot. Easy access just a kayak. My favorite winter easy harvest

    What you need for the anchor is a section of log chain about six feet long. It will help your anchor catch on the bottom.

    Are pickerel good to eat? Are they bony?

  • @robgover8341

    @robgover8341

    They are good to eat, but they do have a different bone structure. There are lots of videos on how to remove the additional bones. I believe it is called a Y-bone. Although we don’t have pike if you find a video on cleaning a pike the method is the same.
