The only thing missing to be truly authentic is yelling at someone while spinning the dough, that's not only authentic but talent. When I was a kid, I used to go to a truly authentic Italian Pizzeria and he could spin and yell at the same time, best pizza ever, the anger is what made it great!

This is literally how I imagined all pizza tossing instructional guides to be... If it was in high definition with some Asian guy doing it, I'd be like _"Nope, he doesn't know what he's talking about."_ A guy named Tony Gemignani in 240p tossing dough... Yes. He's legit and exactly the way I imagined it.

Great technique! Centrifugal force enlarges the dough evenly. I learned o throw pies in NY in the '70s and we'd use a rolling pin when starting large pies, so as not to thin the center out.

In the 60's in Owatonna, MN..... King Tut's Pizza. I would watch the chef toss every dough for all of his pizzas. Back then all were thin crust. The only pizza available then there. Also the only pizza in town. He adopted the sauce for a shrimp pizza. No shrimp pizza has ever approached his recipe.... So long ago but my taste buds still remember...

Hi I was really inspired by your video. I have been having a lot of difficulty though. I keep getting a triangle shape instead of a circle and it seems like it shrinks really fast and I frequently get holes. I can't control that my hands hit the thick part of the dough. Then when I cook it the crust is too soft and you have to use a knife and fork. I like those crusts that have a little starch. I've been using all-purpose flour. Thanks.
